- Stop unexplained execution. If the process is running, open Task Manager with
Ctrl+Shift+Esc, right-click the process and choose the option to open its file location. Write down the complete path and the application or command that started it. If you do not recognize the process, end it only after recording that information. - Locate the parent package. - Do not download a replacement

Crash only when launched from a shortcut
Inspect the shortcut’s target and Start in folder. A wrong working directory can prevent a game utility from finding its companion files. Correct the shortcut to the parent installation, or launch through the game’s normal launcher, only after verifying that the target path is trusted.
Crash with an access or permission message
Check whether the file is in a protected directory, on a read-only medium or controlled by security software. Do not grant broad administrator rights or disable protection as a first step. Repair the package and use the least-privileged launch method that works.
