- Locate the file. In File Explorer, right-click the process or shortcut that references

The launcher loops, cannot connect, or fails during patching
- Confirm that Windows can reach the game’s official update service and that the system date and time are correct.
- Run the launcher as a normal user first; use administrative approval only when Windows asks for it or the game’s installer specifically requires it.
- Check that the installation drive has free space and that the account can write to the CrossFire folder.
