Is plsqldev.exe safe or a virus?
A legitimate copy is normally safe when it came from an installed Allround Automations distribution, has a consistent digital signature and is clean under a current security scan. Allround Automations’ release notes show ongoing stability, performance, startup, client, debugger and user-interface fixes. The current release listed in those notes is PL/SQL Developer 17.0.3, released October 14, 2026. - Open Windows Security.

4. Repair a trusted installation
If the path, signature and scan are consistent with an official installation, use the installed program’s repair option before removing it. In Settings > Apps > Installed apps, open the PL/SQL Developer entry and look for Modify, Repair or an equivalent maintenance command.
