Windows does not require this filename as part of its core operating-system image. If the file is missing from a damaged driver installation, wireless functions may fail or the service may repeatedly report an error. Review WLAN-AutoConfig events
Open Event Viewer and go to Applications and Services Logs → Microsoft → Windows → WLAN-AutoConfig → Operational. Look around the timestamp of the error for service, authentication, adapter or resume-related events.
