Checks that support a legitimate installation
- The file is inside the SmartDraw installation directory created by an installer you obtained from SmartDraw or an organization’s authorized deployment.

1. Stop launching an unexpected copy
If the path, publisher or source is unexplained, end the process in Task Manager, disconnect the file from startup if it is configured there, and scan it before attempting repairs. 5. Test after each change
- Launch SmartDraw from its installed shortcut, not from an old download or email attachment.
