Why older profession advice may not apply
Blizzard’s Dragonflight profession overview discusses specializations, crafting quality, and profession equipment bonuses. Those descriptions explain aspects of the Dragonflight system; they do not establish the current effects of professions in Midnight or prove a Shaman-specific advantage.
Blizzard’s The War Within content update notes discuss Cooking and the intended role of secondary professions, not a primary-profession ranking for Shamans. The notes state: “A Secondary Profession should be direct, easy to start, and offer a reasonable level of complexity for highly engaged players.” That is design context for secondary professions, not a recommendation for a Shaman’s profession.

- Check current Midnight details: compare the profession’s present progression and benefits in a current guide, not a description from Dragonflight or The War Within.
