The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Movie Level Pack is downloadable content for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, not a full adaptation of the film or a standalone game. It adds a level based on the movie’s opening sequence, in which the Guardians face the Abilisk.
What is the Vol. 2 Movie Level Pack?
Released on December 19, 2017, the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Movie Level Pack is a separate add-on for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2. Steam describes it as an adaptation of the film’s opening sequence: Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, Drax, and Groot take on the Abilisk.

How does it differ from the base game?
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is an original TT Games adventure released November 14, 2017. Its story centers on the time-traveling Kang the Conqueror and journeys through Marvel locations brought together in the Chronopolis hub; it is not a retelling of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The movie-themed pack adds a specific film-inspired level rather than replacing or retelling the base game’s campaign. TT Games’ game overview
What do you need to play it?
The pack is DLC, so you need the compatible LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 game software as well. Nintendo’s US listing explicitly says the game software is required separately. It lists the pack at a regular US price of $2.99; that is a captured regional store listing, not a guarantee of today’s price or of pricing in other regions. Nintendo US listing

TT Games says LEGO Marvel Collection includes LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, LEGO Marvel’s Avengers, and LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, plus all season-pass content for each game. That makes the collection a potential way to get the Vol. 2 pack through the included season-pass content, rather than buying the pack alone. Confirm the platform and edition’s included content on the specific listing; physical-release installation guidance is also available from WB Games support.
