Those figures help identify a copy, but neither a filename nor a reported size is a security verdict. Use the file’s location, signature, provenance, hash, and scan result together.

Scan before execution
Leave a questionable file quarantined or otherwise isolated while you investigate. Windows Security can scan a selected file and perform an offline or full scan when warranted. Microsoft advises using Windows Security when removing a suspicious application. Do not launch the game simply to see whether the file “works”; execution is the event you are trying to avoid until the checks are complete.

- Stop the game and launcher. Exit The Sims 3 and close EA or Steam so the executable is not locked or replaced during inspection.
- Record the full path. In File Explorer, hold Shift, right-click the file, select Copy as path, and save that path for your antivirus report or support request.
