Nidoking can learn ten attacks in Pokémon Quest: Amnesia, Earthquake, Growl, Iron Tail, Megahorn, Rock Smash, Rock Tomb, Take Down, Taunt, and Toxic. Serebii lists Work Up separately under “Special Attacks,” rather than among those ten attacks.
Nidoking’s learnable attacks
The power, wait, and effect descriptions below are the Pokémon Quest-specific values listed in Serebii’s Nidoking entry. They are not the move power values used in the main-series Pokémon games.
| Attack | Power | Wait | Effect in Pokémon Quest |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amnesia | 0 | 8 | Temporarily raises damage dealt and resistance to negative effects. |
| Earthquake | 390 | 5 | Damages surrounding enemies. |
| Growl | 0 | 4 | Makes surrounding enemies less wary and often reduces the damage they deal. |
| Iron Tail | 67 | 5 | Damages surrounding enemies and sometimes increases the damage they take. |
| Megahorn | 513 | 5 | Rams enemies in front of the user for very high damage. |
| Rock Smash | 29 | 1 | Damages enemies in a broad nearby area and can destroy surrounding trees and rocks. |
| Rock Tomb | 212 | 5 | Drops boulders in front of the user and may lower hit enemies’ movement speed. |
| Take Down | 189 | 5 | Charges into enemies in front; the user also takes recoil damage. |
| Taunt | 0 | 2 | Forces surrounding enemies to target the user. |
| Toxic | 59 | 4 | Sprays poison around the user and often poisons enemies hit. |
Is Work Up one of Nidoking’s moves?
Work Up appears on the same Serebii page, but under the separate “Special Attacks” heading. Its listed power is 0 and its wait is 8; it temporarily raises damage dealt and reduces damage taken. It is distinct from the ten attacks in the learnable-attacks list.
How to read the move list
For a team or move-slot comparison, the useful distinctions are wait time, power, target area or direction, and secondary effects. The table gives those source-listed values and descriptions; it does not establish a tested ranking or a universally best move.

Serebii identifies Nidoking as a melee Pokémon and says it evolves from Nidorino at level 36. Those details help place the move list in context, but do not change which attacks are listed for Nidoking.
