The Pokémon Company, with co-developer YOKA Games, has announced a planned Japanese release for Thursday, November 12, 2026. The published specification is for four to six players, ages 10 and up, with sessions lasting 30 minutes or more.

What platform is the Pokémon Team Rocket game on?
The platform is a tabletop: this is a boxed physical game that uses cards, role guides and a printed rulebook. The roles form three sides in the contest:
- Gym Leader and Gym Trainers: the gym’s defending group.
- Challengers: players pursuing the gym challenge.
- Team Rocket: the opposing faction attempting to advance its own objective.
The two Gym roles belong to the same broad side, while Challengers and Team Rocket have separate goals. Because identities are concealed, the table is not simply a contest in which every player knows who is cooperating. Hidden roles drive the play
The central hook is social deduction. A player may need to decide whether another participant is helping the gym, pursuing the Challenger goal or secretly working for Team Rocket. The published rules structure confirms that role cards, Pokémon cards and play cards are used together, but the exact dealing sequence and turn-by-turn procedures are defined by the instruction manual and quick-start guide in the box.
This means the title does not deliver a conventional Pokémon battle system with a controllable trainer, map exploration or a computer opponent. - Check the group size. Confirm that four to six people are taking part and that the game is appropriate for the players under the published 10-and-up guidance.

The official sales channels named for Japan are Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Center Online, electronics retailers and toy retailers. Those channels identify where the Japanese product is expected to appear; they do not establish that every country will receive the game at the same time.

Is there an English or international version?
The available official information is Japan-focused. It confirms the Japanese product, its components and its Japanese release plan, but it does not confirm an English edition, an international launch date or international fulfillment. If you live outside Japan, check the language printed on the listing and the region served by the retailer before ordering.

Do I need a Nintendo Switch to play it?
No. The game is not a Switch or Switch 2 release. Buy or obtain the physical box and provide the tabletop space and players described by the product specification.
Can I play it on my phone?

Can I play alone or with three people?
