Battlestate Games said it would “actively work to resolve” a set of Escape from Tarkov technical and gameplay issues after a player survey, according to an Insider Gaming report published January 21, 2025. The reported list ranged from performance and audio problems to trader quests and a thermal scope. The report said survey details and results would be shared later; it did not publish findings or confirm that the listed issues were fixed.
What did Battlestate say it would work on?
Insider Gaming’s January 21, 2025 report described a survey recently rolled out to ask Tarkov players about several topics. It said Battlestate Games had pledged to “actively work to resolve” key challenges and attributed the following planned updates to a studio social-media post. These are reported targets, not an independently verified defect audit or a record of completed fixes.
- Performance: FPS drops and stuttering in some locations.
- Audio: Sound disappearing during raids or behaving incorrectly indoors.
- Raids and AI: Scav raid loading, invisible bot spawns, and incorrect Zryachiy and guard spawn points affecting Lightkeeper interactions.
- World effects: Fog effects.
- Items and progression: Item availability and trader quests.
- Hideout: Empty crafts in the Cultist Circle.
- Flea market: A client freeze when posting an offer for an item found through Linked Search.
- Graphics settings: An option related to the frame limit when Nvidia Reflex is off.
- Weapon optics: The Cyclone “Shahin” 3.7x thermal scope.
Insider Gaming’s report characterized the period after a recent wipe as involving performance, network, bug, and cheating complaints. It did not provide measurements for those problems or survey data showing how common they were.
Did Battlestate publish the January survey results?
Not in the January 21 report. Insider Gaming said the studio planned to share the survey’s details and results online later, but the available reporting does not establish what those results were. There are no attributable percentages, rankings, or findings here that show which issue players considered most important.

What later feedback and update posts show
Later communications show Battlestate continued to discuss technical problems and collect player reports. They do not establish that every item on the January list was resolved.
Official technical-issues update
A later Escape from Tarkov Official Telegram update acknowledged technical problems and said the studio was working on fixes. Its examples included downloads through the Battlestate Games Launcher and Steam, trader error 228, unsaved raid progress in PvE, raid audio loss, overlapping character screens, and broken textures. The post said its list was incomplete and encouraged players to keep sharing impressions and bug reports. The team wrote: “Your feedback really helps us make the game better!”
