Jack Cooper is a Militia combat Pilot in Titanfall 2—but he begins the story as a rifleman aspiring to become one. His partnership with BT-7274, a Vanguard-class Titan, is central to the campaign.
What is Jack Cooper’s role?
Cooper serves with the Militia, one of the factions in Titanfall 2. When the campaign begins, he is a rifleman who hopes to join the elite Pilot ranks. After a failed Militia assault on the IMC planet Typhon, he teams up with BT-7274 and takes on the Pilot role in the story. Electronic Arts describes this setup in its announcement of the game’s 2016 release and its studio article about BT-7274.

What kind of Pilot does that make him?
He is a fictional combat Pilot in the game’s universe, not a real-world aviation pilot with an aircraft rating. The Pilot–Titan pairing describes the game’s combat roles and gameplay. Cooper’s Titan partner, BT-7274, is specifically identified by EA as a Vanguard-class Titan; that classification belongs to BT, not Cooper.
Where can you follow Cooper’s story?
Cooper’s story is told in the Titanfall 2 campaign. EA’s 2016 release announcement listed Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. That announcement confirms the original platforms and release, not present-day availability or stock.
