Rockstar has also introduced Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest, the rap duo Real Dimez (Bae-Luxe and Roxy), Raul Bautista and Brian Heder. These are the locations and characters supported by Rockstar’s current official material; leaked map labels and additional rumored cast members are not confirmed.
What locations are officially confirmed in GTA 6?
Rockstar presents Grand Theft Auto VI as a story set in “Vice City, USA,” but Vice City is only one part of the announced setting. The wider state of Leonida contains five other named destinations. Rockstar’s official regional list invites players to explore Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga.

The descriptions vary in detail. Vice City is identified as the central city setting, while the other destinations are confirmed by name and placement in Rockstar’s “Only in Leonida” material. In several cases, Rockstar has attached a character or criminal activity to a destination without publishing a complete geographical description. That distinction matters: a named region is confirmed, but an alleged neighborhood, county boundary or landmark from leaks is not automatically part of the official map.
Vice City
Vice City is the urban centerpiece and the location Rockstar labels “Vice City, USA.” It is the modern return of the series’ fictional Florida-inspired city, but the current official material does not define every district, island or suburb. Rockstar’s synopsis places the main criminal conspiracy across Leonida rather than restricting it to the city, so Vice City functions as the metropolitan anchor for a broader statewide journey.

Leonida Keys
The Leonida Keys are an officially named region with a direct connection to Jason Duval and Brian Heder. Jason works for local drug runners in the Keys, while Brian continues to move product through his boatyard during what Rockstar describes as the Keys’ smuggling era. Jason also lives at one of Brian’s properties in exchange for carrying out local shakedowns. Rockstar has confirmed the region and its criminal network, but has not supplied a full public breakdown of its settlements, roads or individual islands.
Grassrivers
Grassrivers appears in Rockstar’s list of Leonida destinations. Its inclusion confirms that it is a named place in the game world, yet Rockstar’s current People & Places material does not provide a character biography, faction description or detailed environmental profile for it. Claims about its exact size, boundaries or connection to particular missions remain unverified until Rockstar publishes more information.
Port Gellhorn
Port Gellhorn is another officially named destination. Rockstar uses the location to introduce Raul Bautista, a seasoned bank robber who recruits people willing to accept extreme risks. The available official description establishes the character’s connection to Port Gellhorn, but it does not spell out whether the destination is a city, port district or wider region. Treat the name as confirmed and more specific map interpretations as provisional.

Ambrosia is officially listed among the destinations across Leonida and is the setting Rockstar uses when introducing Brian Heder. Brian is an old-style drug runner whose boatyard operation and relationship with Jason tie him to the Keys’ smuggling economy. Rockstar has not published a separate terrain or infrastructure guide for Ambrosia, so its exact role beyond Brian’s introduction is still open.
Mount Kalaga
Mount Kalaga appears at the end of Rockstar’s named regional list. The name confirms a destination in Leonida, but the official page supplies no character profile or extended description for it. The existence of a mountain-named location suggests geographic variety in the state, yet its elevation, facilities, settlements and mission content have not been officially detailed.

Who are the confirmed GTA 6 characters?
Rockstar’s People & Places material identifies two protagonists and several supporting figures whose businesses, friendships and criminal work connect the regions of Leonida. The descriptions below use only roles Rockstar has publicly attached to these characters.
Jason Duval
Jason wants an easy life, but Rockstar says circumstances keep making it harder. He grew up around grifters and crooks, spent time in the Army and later worked for local drug runners in the Keys. His work brings him into Brian Heder’s orbit and places him inside the smuggling economy that operates beyond Vice City. Jason is one of the two confirmed protagonists, so his decisions form a central part of the game’s narrative rather than a side character’s perspective.
Lucia Caminos
Lucia’s father taught her to fight from an early age. Fighting for her family eventually sent her to Leonida Penitentiary; after her release, Rockstar says she is determined to change the odds in her favor. Lucia is the second confirmed protagonist. Her history gives the partnership with Jason a different foundation from his military and criminal background, while the official synopsis presents both characters as increasingly dependent on one another.
The Jason-and-Lucia partnership
Rockstar’s synopsis says: “Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.” This establishes the broad story setup: a failed job, a conspiracy spanning Leonida and a survival partnership. It does not reveal the mission that goes wrong, the identity of the conspiracy’s leaders or how control switches between the protagonists.

Cal Hampton
Cal is Jason’s friend and Brian Heder’s associate. Rockstar describes him as someone who stays at home, listens to Coast Guard communications and lives with casual paranoia. His monitoring habit links him to the same coastal and smuggling-related world as Jason and Brian, although Rockstar has not stated how often he joins them in the field or what missions he directly affects.
Boobie Ike
Boobie Ike is described as a Vice City legend who built an empire across real estate, a strip club and a recording studio. His partnership with Dre’Quan Priest centers on Only Raw Records. That combination makes Boobie both a business power in Vice City and a connection between the city’s property, nightlife and music economies. Rockstar has not listed the names of his individual venues or explained how his empire intersects with Jason and Lucia’s initial job.
Dre’Quan Priest
Dre’Quan is a hustler whose ambition is to break into music. Rockstar says he signed Real Dimez and is targeting Vice City’s music scene through Only Raw Records, the venture he runs with Boobie Ike. His role confirms that the game’s supporting cast extends beyond conventional organized-crime figures into the city’s entertainment business.
Real Dimez: Bae-Luxe and Roxy
Real Dimez is a rap duo made up of longtime friends Bae-Luxe and Roxy. Rockstar says they turned dealer shake-downs, provocative rap tracks and social media into a route toward fame before signing with Only Raw Records. The pair therefore connects street-level schemes, online self-promotion and Dre’Quan’s record label. No additional members of Real Dimez have been officially identified.
Raul Bautista
Raul is a confident, charming and cunning seasoned bank robber. Rockstar says he looks for talent willing to take high risks, and introduces him in connection with Port Gellhorn. That description confirms his profession and recruitment role without establishing whether he is an ally, rival or temporary employer for the protagonists.

Brian Heder
Brian is described as a classic drug runner from the Keys’ smuggling era. He still moves product through his boatyard and lets Jason live at one of his properties in return for local shakedowns. Brian is also Cal Hampton’s associate. His boatyard, property arrangement and criminal history make him one of the clearest links between Jason’s day-to-day work and the older smuggling network operating in the Keys.

No. Vice City is the central city, but Rockstar has explicitly named five additional Leonida destinations: the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga. The official synopsis also says the conspiracy stretches “across the state of Leonida,” which supports a setting broader than one city.
That confirmation should not be inflated into a claim that every rumored town or island is present. Rockstar has not published a complete map legend, a final count of settlements or a definitive list of every landmark. The safest description is a state-wide setting with six officially named destinations, anchored by Vice City and supported by region-specific characters and criminal activities.
What is confirmed versus rumor?
The names in this article come from Rockstar’s own official People & Places and Leonida destination material. A character, region or destination is confirmed when Rockstar names it or supplies an official biography. Rumored characters, additional cities, leaked map labels and interpretations based solely on trailer frames should be treated as unconfirmed.

How the confirmed places and characters fit together
The announced locations form several overlapping story networks rather than a simple city-versus-country split. Vice City supplies the urban business and music world around Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest and Real Dimez. The Leonida Keys supply Jason’s work for drug runners and Brian Heder’s boatyard-based smuggling. Cal Hampton sits between those criminal relationships as Jason’s friend and Brian’s associate. Port Gellhorn introduces Raul Bautista and his high-risk robbery recruitment, while Grassrivers, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga expand the state beyond the destinations that already have detailed biographies.
Rockstar has not published enough information to classify every region as definitively urban, rural, coastal or inland. The official material supports connections and names, not a complete environmental taxonomy. Release information relevant to the confirmed setting
Rockstar’s current store listing names PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as the platforms for Grand Theft Auto VI and displays a release date of November 19, 2026. Store availability, editions and dates can differ by region or change before launch, so check the listing for your territory when making a purchase decision. “Grand Theft Auto VI PS5” is the relevant platform wording for readers looking specifically for the PlayStation version.

GTA 6’s confirmed world is not limited to Vice City. Rockstar has officially named Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga within Leonida. Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos are the confirmed protagonists, joined in Rockstar’s current character introductions by Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest, Real Dimez members Bae-Luxe and Roxy, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder. Anything beyond those names and the roles described above remains unconfirmed until Rockstar publishes it.
