Landfall’s final planned content update for Totally Accurate Battle Simulator (TABS) was “Neon weapons, colors, and abilities,” released January 17, 2024. It expanded the Unit Creator with 20 weapons, Neon abilities, headpieces, and colors. Landfall later issued bug fixes and a quality-of-life patch, but said it had no plans to add more content after Neon.
What did the final TABS update add?
The Neon update focused on tools for building custom units rather than a new campaign or a separate game mode. The additions let players give custom units a coordinated Neon look and equip them with new weapons and abilities. Landfall’s announcement identifies the additions but does not specify a complete item-by-item list in the information available here.
Why did Landfall stop planning new content?
Landfall said the team had worked on TABS for years and wanted to move on to making something new. Its roadmap also described practical development difficulties: changes could cause crashes, break other parts of the game, or introduce bugs. The scale of the player-made content was another part of the game’s ongoing context. The roadmap credits the Workshop community with more than 2.3 million items across units, campaigns, maps, and factions. Landfall’s retrieved roadmap text does not date that count, so it should be understood as an undated figure rather than a current total.

Yes. “Final update” refers to the last planned content update, not the last time Landfall touched the game. The studio said it would track accidental bugs introduced by Neon and patch them; subsequent announcements covered fixes and quality-of-life work rather than a new planned content release.
