Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic were planned for the season’s first half; Human Torch and The Thing followed in the second. The vampire storyline belongs to that 2025 season—not to the upcoming Season 10.5 in October 2026.
When did the Fantastic Four arrive in Marvel Rivals?
Marvel Games and NetEase Games announced Season 1 on January 6, 2025; NetEase’s announcement page is dated January 7. The joint announcement said: “The game’s first season will kick off on January 10 at 1 AM PST and will introduce the Fantastic Four as playable heroes.”
The team was added in two stages:
- First half: Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic.
- Second half: Human Torch and The Thing.
The announcement described Season 1 as a two-part season, but did not give the individual heroes’ release dates in the information cited here. NetEase Games’ Season 1 announcement has the original rollout details.
What was the vampire fight about?
Season 1’s story, titled Eternal Night Falls, centered on Dracula exploiting a supernatural crisis. With Doctor Doom’s support, Dracula took advantage of Doctor Strange’s disappearance and unleashed his forces on a New York plunged into darkness. The heroes turned to science to meet the threat.

That premise explains the season’s vampire framing: it was a story and setting for the game’s seasonal content, not an announcement that the Fantastic Four were joining in 2026.
What else came with Season 1?
The official announcement presented Season 1 as more than a roster update. Its listed additions included three maps, a new mode, limited-time rewards, and a battle pass:

Is the Fantastic Four announcement about the next season?
No. The “next season” framing is historical. As of October 8, 2026, the latest announced update was Season 10.5, scheduled to begin October 9 at 09:00 UTC. Its official patch notes highlighted a Path to Doomsday mode inspired by Avengers: Infinity War, not a new Fantastic Four debut.
The Season 10.5 notes describe that mode as a 12-player competition in six two-player squads, with teams competing for Infinity Stones. Other announced in-game content included character bundles, an Infinity Gauntlet accessory, and the Infinity Finale event. The official Season 10.5 patch notes give the update timing and content; the October 7 Dev Vision announcement also identifies Season 10.5 as upcoming and connects its new modes to Path to Doomsday.
