Ultron became playable in Marvel Rivals with the Season 2.5 update, announced for May 30, 2025. Season 2 had started earlier, on April 11, so Ultron’s debut was part of the season’s second half—not its launch day.
When did Ultron become playable in Marvel Rivals?
NetEase’s May 22, 2025 Dev Vision Vol. 6 announcement said Season 2.5 would launch May 30 and bring Ultron as a playable character. That makes May 30, 2025 the announced date for his playable debut.
The dates refer to two stages of the same season: Season 2 began April 11, 2025, while its mid-season Season 2.5 update was announced for May 30. NetEase had already said Ultron would arrive in the season’s second half in its April 4, 2025 Season 2 announcement.

The May 22 announcement also described a new map and a substantial set of Team-Up changes:

Marvel Rivals described the changes as “over 50% revamped since Season 0.” These are the announced update changes, not a guide to the game’s current Team-Up lineup.
Is this still a new update?
No. The Ultron announcement concerns a 2025 release. The official Marvel Rivals update index, reviewed October 8, 2026, listed updates through October 1, 2026, so Season 2.5 is historical rather than a new update today. The index does not establish Ultron’s current balance or verify his present availability on every platform.
