If you want to carry the strongest seasonal gear forward, work toward PEN Tuvala weapons and armor first—but that is preparation, not a formal graduation requirement. Graduation turns your character into a normal character and ends its access to Season Servers.
When can you graduate?
Pearl Abyss says a character that has completed the Season Pass can graduate whenever the player chooses. Its FAQ describes Season Servers as available year-round to players with a Season Character Ticket, so you do not need to graduate just because a calendar season ends. See the Pearl Abyss support FAQ, updated October 17, 2023, for the stated policy.
What to finish before graduating
Complete the Season Pass and claim its rewards
Finish the pass and collect its rewards before leaving. BDFoundry lists pass completion and reward collection as the graduation condition in its Season Graduation Guide.
Decide how far to take Tuvala gear
Full PEN Tuvala weapons and armor are a useful readiness goal if you want to maximize the seasonal equipment you take into normal-character progression. BDFoundry recommends this as preparation; it is not an official prerequisite for graduation.

Use spare seasonal materials
Before graduating, consider exchanging spare Time-Filled Black Stones and other seasonal materials for rewards you want. The specific exchange options can depend on current game notices and the in-game interface, so check those before you act.
What changes after graduation?
Your character becomes a normal character and can no longer enter Season Servers or use their benefits. In return, you can move on to normal-character gear progression. Pearl Abyss says the character’s highest-grade Tuvala equipment is automatically converted to regular equipment upon graduation; check current official notices and the in-game interface for details that may have changed.

- Stay on season if you still want Season Server access, have Season Pass rewards to claim, want more Tuvala progression, or have seasonal materials you plan to exchange.
- Graduate when those goals are complete and you are ready to continue as a normal character.
There is no published comparison establishing a set number of extra days or a quantified advantage to staying longer. Base the timing on your own remaining goals, rather than an assumed deadline or a universal “graduate ASAP” rule.
