League of Legends prepaid gift cards, which Riot calls RP cards, are sold at major retailers in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Digital versions are named for only one retailer, Amazon, and only in the United States and Canada. The country where you buy matters as much as the store, because it determines which League server the card can be used on.
Where to buy, by country
Riot’s prepaid gift-card page lists the markets where its cards are offered and names the retailers that carry them. The table below shows what that page establishes for each market and what it leaves open.

Riot’s gift-card page does not give a store-by-store locator for Australia or New Zealand, and it does not confirm that any particular outlet has cards in stock. For Brazil, the partner list comes from Riot’s Portuguese payment guidance, which asks buyers to confirm the partner’s current League of Legends offering and region before paying.
Physical cards or digital codes
Physical cards are the option Riot names for the widest set of retailers. In the United States and Canada, Riot’s gift-card page says digital gift cards can be bought from Amazon, and it names no other digital source. If you want a code delivered without a store trip, Amazon is the only retailer Riot identifies for that purpose, and only in those two countries.

Prices and stock are set by each retailer and change over time. Check the listing on the day you buy, including the seller and the card’s region, before you pay.
Match the card to the recipient’s server
A card bought in the United States or Canada is redeemable on the North America (NA) server. A card bought in Australia or New Zealand is redeemable on the Oceania (OCE) server. Riot’s gift-card page also describes these cards as PC-only, so a card is not a route to console or mobile play. If the recipient plays on a different server than the card was sold for, the card will not serve their account.

Buy only from authorized sources
- Use a Riot-named retailer. Riot’s gift-card page names the retailers above. Stick to those or to an official partner site.
- Avoid online auctions and unauthorized sellers. Riot warns against them and says it cannot guarantee that such cards are valid or help if they fail.
- Do not expect codes from outside sources to work. Riot’s code FAQ, dated May 19, 2026, says it does not support codes obtained from third parties outside Riot or official partner promotions.
Activation and receipts
A physical card must be activated by the store at the point of sale. Riot’s activation troubleshooting page says physical cards must be activated at the store where they were purchased. Keep the receipt with the card, since Riot says both are needed if a redemption problem has to be investigated.
How to redeem a prepaid card
Redeem the card inside the League of Legends client. Riot’s gift-card guide describes this path, which also applies to Teamfight Tactics:

- Open the League of Legends client and go to the in-client store.
- Choose Purchase RP.
- Select Prepaid Cards.
- Enter the PIN from the card.
Riot’s code FAQ states that prepaid gift cards must be redeemed within the respective game client and cannot be redeemed on the website. Riot content codes are a separate case: they may be redeemed through the client or Riot’s code redemption page, so do not assume a prepaid card follows the same process as a content code.

Riot’s US gift-card page does not establish availability in other countries. Use Riot’s local payment or prepaid-card guidance for your country instead of assuming a card bought elsewhere will work. Riot’s current guidance treats cash codes as region-specific, so a code bought in one market is not a reliable way to fund an account in another.

If a card does not work
- Not activated at purchase: return to the store where the card was bought, with the receipt.
- Entered on the website: prepaid cards are redeemed only in the game client, so use the in-client path above.
- Bought from an auction or unofficial seller: Riot does not guarantee the card and may not be able to help, so contact the seller or payment provider first.
- Server mismatch: confirm the card’s country against the recipient’s server before redeeming.
