How to find it on the map
Look for the central mountainous spine of Appalachia. The Savage Divide is the belt through the middle of the map, rather than one town or a single landmark. Its regional position is shown in the Fallout Wiki’s Savage Divide reference.

Use the neighboring regions to orient yourself:
- West of the Divide: the Forest, Toxic Valley and Ash Heap.
- East of the Divide: the Mire and Cranberry Bog.
This is a general map orientation, not an exact border: available references describe the Divide’s position and the regions around it, but do not establish precise boundary coordinates.
Finding it in-game
Open the world map and use discovered locations to get your bearings. Bethesda’s Fallout 76 newcomer guide explains that discovered locations appear on the map and can be fast-traveled to. The guide is useful for navigating Appalachia, but it does not provide exact coordinates for the Divide.

Why it is described as a north–south region
The Savage Divide crosses central Appalachia from north to south, separating the western regions from the Mire and Cranberry Bog to the east. Bethesda’s Skyline Valley announcement likewise describes players crossing the Divide while traveling toward southern Appalachia.

The Savage Divide in Fallout 76 is an Appalachian map region. It is not the separate location called “the Divide” in Fallout: New Vegas.
