The secret tree is the Sylvan Tree, in Foundry Cove, Willow Creek, near the Crick Cabana lot. Interact with it to open a route to the hidden area Sylvan Glade.
Where to find the Sylvan Tree
Travel to the public area in Foundry Cove, Willow Creek, beside Crick Cabana. Look for the large tree with flowers growing along its sides; it is labeled Sylvan Tree. The Sims Resource’s guide identifies this as the entrance to Sylvan Glade.
How to open the tree entrance
- Click the Sylvan Tree and choose View. Repeat the interaction several times.
- When additional options appear, use Water the Tree, Compliment on Leaves, and Chat About Roots.
- Continue interacting until Explore becomes available, then select it.
- In the tree adventure, choose Follow the Sound, then Travel Downstream, then Enter the Mist, and finally Travel to Glade.
That sequence takes your Sim to Sylvan Glade. The source guides describe the interactions but do not specify a patch version or platform-specific differences.
Don’t confuse it with the Forgotten Grotto
The Sylvan Tree is in Willow Creek and leads to Sylvan Glade. The Forgotten Grotto is a separate hidden area in Oasis Springs, reached through a mine entrance. If you are looking for the tree, you do not need to search the mine.

Alternate access with Spa Day
A January 2025 guide from The Sims Resource reports that a Sim with Wellness skill level 7 or higher can teleport to Sylvan Glade while meditating if you own the Spa Day pack. This is an optional alternative; it is not required to unlock the tree. See the guide for its description of the meditation route.
