Marvel’s Wolverine Photo Mode does not save a separate image file inside a game-specific folder. You compose the shot in the game, then use the PS5 controller’s Create controls to take an actual screenshot. That capture is available immediately through Recently created and permanently manageable in the PS5 Media Gallery. From Media Gallery you can share the image, edit or delete it, favorite it, or copy it to a connected USB drive.
The game’s Photo Mode opens from the Pause menu by default. You can also assign it to a DualSense D-pad shortcut in Settings, which makes repeated captures faster but does not change where the files are stored.

Where are Marvel’s Wolverine Photo Mode screenshots saved?
The finished screenshots are saved with the PS5’s other captures and appear in Media Gallery. They are organized in albums by game title, so look for the Marvel’s Wolverine album rather than a folder inside the game’s installation or save-data area.
There are two different actions involved:
- Photo Mode composition: You arrange the character, camera, lighting, filters and other visual settings in Marvel’s Wolverine.
- Console capture: You press the DualSense Create button and choose a capture method. This produces the screenshot that PS5 stores and exposes in Media Gallery.

How do I open Photo Mode in Marvel’s Wolverine?
Pause the game and choose Photo Mode. That is the default route described in PlayStation’s Wolverine guide.
- While playing, press the button that opens the game’s Pause menu.
- Select Photo Mode.
- Compose the image using the available camera and visual controls.
- When the shot looks right, leave the composition on screen and use the PS5 Create controls to make the screenshot.
If you take screenshots frequently, map Photo Mode to a D-pad direction in the game’s Settings. The shortcut only changes how you enter Photo Mode; it does not create a second storage location or bypass the PS5 capture system.
What can I adjust before taking the screenshot?
Photo Mode is where you create the image, so spend the time there before pressing Create. PlayStation’s guide describes controls for lighting, character poses, camera tilt, filters and miniature mode.
Lighting
The mode supports up to five independent lighting rigs, allowing you to place and tune several lights instead of relying only on the scene’s existing illumination. This is useful for separating a character from a dark background or adding a deliberate rim light.
Poses and framing
Choose a pose, then adjust the camera position and tilt. Camera tilt can produce portrait-style framing even when you are not changing the display orientation.
Filters and miniature mode
Filters alter the final look before capture. Miniature mode gives the scene a toy-like depth effect. These changes are part of the Photo Mode composition; they become part of the saved image only after you take the PS5 screenshot.

How do I save the composed image as a PS5 screenshot?
Use the DualSense controller’s Create button after the Photo Mode composition is ready. PlayStation describes Create as the starting point for opening capture controls.
- With the finished Wolverine image visible, press the Create button on the DualSense controller.
- In the Create menu, choose the screenshot or capture option offered by the PS5.
- Wait for the on-screen confirmation or thumbnail, then return to the game or open the new capture from the Create interface.
The exact wording of capture choices can change with PS5 system software. The important distinction is that Photo Mode prepares the frame, while Create records it as a console capture.
How do I find the screenshot I just took?
For a capture made moments ago, the fastest route is Recently created. You can reach it from the Create menu or from the PS5 control center.
- Press Create and select the most recent thumbnail, if it is shown there; or
- Press the PS button to open the control center.
- Select Recently created.
PlayStation says the Recently created card can show up to 15 recent captures. It is intended for quick access, so an older Wolverine image may disappear from this card even though it remains in Media Gallery.

How do I browse the complete Wolverine screenshot collection?
Use Media Gallery when you need the full set of captures, not just the most recent thumbnails.
- Go to the PS5 games home screen.
- Open Media Gallery.
- Open the album for Marvel’s Wolverine, or browse the game-organized albums until you find it.
- Select a thumbnail to open the image and its available actions.
Media Gallery is the management area for captures. Depending on the item and current PS5 software, you can view it, share it, favorite it, edit it or delete it. The album view is also the reliable place to return to screenshots after the Recently created list has moved on to newer captures.

How do I share a Wolverine screenshot?
Select the image in Media Gallery and choose Share. The console then presents the sharing destinations available on your PS5 account and current system software.
- Open Media Gallery.
- Choose the Marvel’s Wolverine album.
- Select the screenshot you want to send.
- Choose Share and follow the destination’s on-screen instructions.
Sharing choices and service availability can change, so use the destinations currently displayed by your console rather than relying on an older menu guide. If the destination you need is not offered, export the image to USB and transfer it from a computer or another device.
How do I copy a screenshot to a USB drive?
Media Gallery can export a selected capture to a connected USB drive. This is the direct off-console method documented by PlayStation.
- Connect a compatible USB drive to the PS5.
- Open Media Gallery from the games home.
- Select the Wolverine screenshot.
- Open More.
- Choose Copy to USB Drive.
- Leave the drive connected until the copy completes, then safely remove it according to your normal PS5 and USB-drive procedure.
If you want an untouched file outside the console, copy it before making further edits or deleting the capture in Media Gallery. USB export is also a practical fallback when a preferred sharing destination is unavailable.
Should I use Recently created or Media Gallery?
Both routes lead to the same PS5 captures, but they serve different jobs.

Why can’t I find my Wolverine screenshot?
Most missing-capture problems come from confusing an in-game composition with a saved PS5 screenshot or from looking in the short recent-history view.
Photo Mode was open, but Create was never used
A composed frame is not automatically a console screenshot. Return to the game, open the composition again if necessary, and press Create to record it.
The image is no longer in Recently created
That card is limited to recent captures. Open Media Gallery and look in the Marvel’s Wolverine album instead.
You are searching game storage
Do not look for a Wolverine image in the game’s installation directory or ordinary save-data menus. PS5 captures are managed through Media Gallery.

Use the Pause menu as the default route, then check the game’s Settings to confirm that Photo Mode is assigned to the intended D-pad direction. The assignment changes access, not screenshot storage.
The sharing option is different from a guide
PS5 menu labels and available destinations can change with system software and service changes. Select the current Share option for the capture; if the required destination is absent, use More > Copy to USB Drive.

Does Photo Mode’s D-pad shortcut change where screenshots are stored?
No. The shortcut is only an alternate way to enter Photo Mode. Whether you opened it from Pause or with a configured D-pad button, the final image still has to be captured with Create and is then handled by PS5 Media Gallery.
What is the complete workflow from composition to sharing?
For a repeatable process, use this sequence:
- Open Photo Mode from Pause, or use the D-pad shortcut you assigned in Settings.
- Set the camera, tilt, pose, filters, miniature effect and lighting. Up to five independent lighting rigs are available in the mode described by PlayStation.
- Press Create and choose the PS5 screenshot capture method.
- Confirm the new image through the Create thumbnail or Recently created.
- Open Media Gallery when you need the full album or management tools.
- Select the image and choose Share for a direct console share, or More > Copy to USB Drive for an external file.
This order prevents the most common mistake: assuming that a Photo Mode frame has been saved before the console capture step.

What should I know about changing instructions over time?
The Wolverine-specific Photo Mode information comes from PlayStation.Blog’s guide dated October 22, 2026. Does changing the Photo Mode shortcut create a separate Wolverine capture folder?
No. The shortcut only controls how quickly Photo Mode opens. Screenshots made from either entry point go through the PS5 Create controls and are handled in Media Gallery.
Why might a sharing destination be missing from my PS5?
Available destinations depend on the services and system software currently active on your console. If the destination is not listed, copy the selected image to a USB drive from Media Gallery and transfer it using another device.

Select the image in Media Gallery and copy it to a USB drive before editing or deleting the console capture. That gives you an external copy even if the Media Gallery version is later changed.
Can I make a screenshot without leaving Photo Mode?
Yes. Keep the composition visible, press the DualSense Create button, and choose the PS5 screenshot option. Photo Mode supplies the frame; Create is what turns it into a saved capture.
