You play a soldier who encounters a child branded a “Fell Child” and chooses to escort them toward the surface. Progress depends less on conventional combat than on reading the environment and controlling movement through dangerous vertical spaces.
Traversal built around falling
Levels include crumbling platforms and powerful winds. Controlled falls are a central movement tool rather than simply a failure state. Players collect flower buds and throw them to create blossoms; those blossoms absorb impacts that would otherwise be fatal. The resulting play is a timing and route-planning challenge: choose where to fall, account for wind, and place protection before committing to a drop.

Release date and platforms
Steam currently lists the full game for November 2026. GamersExtra’s 16 October report gives a specific planned date of 5 November 2026 and names Steam, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Because the platform stores had not supplied matching dated listings in the available information, treat 5 November and the console lineup as current plans rather than a final, independently confirmed schedule.

How long is the game?
Steam describes Where the Seeds Fall as a densely packed narrative experience that takes about three hours to finish. That figure refers to the main story, not necessarily every optional challenge. After completing it, the listing adds higher-difficulty maps and a time-trial mode, giving the traversal systems a reason to be replayed and mastered.
PC requirements
The official Steam listing requires Windows 11 and an SSD. Both minimum and recommended configurations specify 16 GB of RAM, DirectX 12 and 10 GB of available storage.

Steam lists full controller support and explicitly says: “The developers recommend playing this game with a controller.” That recommendation is particularly relevant to wind-assisted movement, controlled drops and quick flower-bud placement. No particular controller brand or model is required by the published specifications.

What the trailer and demo tell prospective players
The 1:27 cinematic trailer establishes the game’s damaged World Tree setting and the escort premise, while the demo offers the first hands-on opportunity to judge its movement systems. The short advertised campaign means the key buying question is not whether it provides dozens of hours, but whether its compact story and precision traversal are appealing. Players who enjoy environmental navigation, risk-managed movement and repeatable time challenges have the clearest reason to try the demo before the planned November release.
