Will an older disc work on a modern console?
Only when the specific title is supported and the hardware can read the disc. Backward-compatibility guidance is platform- and game-specific, so buying a physical copy first is not a substitute for checking the catalog.
Xbox 360 disc on Xbox One or Xbox Series X
