PlayStation’s direct store and selected retailers offered it at launch, but those historical listings do not confirm stock today. Check current availability in your country, and verify the edition and seller before ordering.
Where to look for the Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense
Start with PlayStation’s official store for your country, if available, then check established gaming and electronics retailers that serve your region. In the US and UK, a 2024 buying roundup named Amazon, Target, GameStop, Walmart, PlayStation Direct, Currys and Smyths Toys as places to check. That roundup reported the controller unavailable or sold out at the time; it is not a current stock report.
PlayStation originally offered the controller through direct.playstation.com in the US and named European markets, alongside selected retailers. Selected retailers were also announced for other global markets. As inventory can change, confirm that a retailer currently lists the exact item as in stock before relying on any old buying guide or search result.
Check that the listing is for the right edition
The original 2024 controller is named DualSense wireless controller – Astro Bot Limited Edition. Its design has Astro-blue accents on the handles and buttons, sci-fi lines, and Astro’s playful eyes on the touch pad. A later Astro Bot Joyful edition is a separate variant with a different eye expression. Listings may use broad wording such as “Astro Bot DualSense,” so compare both the product name and the images before buying.
Compare listings before you order
For each offer, check these details on the retailer’s product page:
- Country and region: Make sure the seller ships to your address and that the controller is intended for your market.
- Edition: Confirm the listing is for the original 2024 Limited Edition or the Joyful variant you actually want.
- Seller: On a marketplace, distinguish the platform itself from a third-party seller. Check the seller’s identity and reputation.
- Availability and total cost: Verify current stock and the final amount, including shipping and taxes. A past launch price is not a reliable current quote.
- Returns: Read the retailer’s return policy, especially for marketplace or resale purchases.
