In current Cyberpunk 2077, the old “Legendary” label has been replaced by Tier 5. Reach level 40, then check ripperdocs for the arm cyberware you want—such as Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms, or a Monowire. Tier 5 becomes widely available at that level, but no single ripperdoc is confirmed to stock every arm implant.
What “Legendary” means now
Update 2.0 replaced the old Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary rarity labels with Tiers 1 through 5. So if an older guide tells you to buy “Legendary” arm cyberware, read that as a request for high-tier cyberware in the current system. CD PROJEKT RED’s Update 2.0 notes describe the change.

What level do you need for Tier 5 arm cyberware?
CD PROJEKT RED’s support page lists Tier 5 cyberware as widely available starting at level 40. This is the cyberware threshold; the level 33 threshold listed for Tier 5 weapons does not apply to arm implants. The support page notes that a tier becoming widely available does not mean every item will appear at every vendor, and lower or higher tiers may still be encountered. It also says each tier has a Tier+ variant without an additional level requirement. See the item-tier guidance from CD PROJEKT RED Technical Support.
Where to look for arm cyberware
- Reach level 40. This is when Tier 5 cyberware becomes widely available.
- Visit ripperdocs and inspect their cyberware inventory. Look for the specific arm implant you want, rather than assuming one clinic sells every option.
- If it is not listed, check other ripperdocs again later. Vendor stock scales with player level and expands as you reach new Tiers, but the official guidance does not guarantee a particular implant at a particular shop.
Update 2.0 also says vendors have more distinctive inventory themes and specializations. The official sources do not identify a single definitive ripperdoc that reliably sells every arm cyberware item, so checking inventories is the practical approach.

Don’t confuse arm cyberware with the Black Market Vendor
Update 2.1’s Black Market Vendor note concerns specific Iconic weapons: Alabai, Borzaya, Laika, Taigan, and Volkodav, if they were not retrieved from an Airdrop. It is not evidence that the vendor sells Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms, Monowire, or other arm cyberware. Read CD PROJEKT RED’s Update 2.1 patch notes.

The support page lists a Tier 5++ threshold of level 51 for weapons in Phantom Liberty, but its cyberware thresholds stop at Tier 5 at level 40. Do not apply the weapon-only Tier 5++ threshold to arm cyberware.
