There are three standard Silk Hearts in Hollow Knight: Silksong. They come from Bell Beast in The Marrow, The Unravelled in Whiteward, and Lace on a route gated by Threefold Melody. Defeat each boss, collect the hovering Silk Heart, then complete the Silk Memory platforming sequence; a boss win alone does not award the collectible.

1. The Marrow: Bell Beast
Get Silkspear before pursuing this heart; it is needed to cut the silk strands blocking the route. Reach and defeat Bell Beast in The Marrow. After the fight, touch the hovering Silk Heart to enter its Silk Memory, then complete the platforming sequence to leave with the reward.

2. Whiteward: The Unravelled
First find the Surgeon’s Key in the upper-right portion of Whiteward. Use it on the lock in the lower-left area to open the hidden chamber. Defeat The Unravelled there, then touch the hovering heart and complete its Silk Memory to claim it.
3. Lace: the Threefold Melody route
Unlock Threefold Melody to access Lace’s Silk Heart route. The current-edited Hollow Knight Wiki places this heart in the Cradle and lists Threefold Melody as the requirement. An older All Things How walkthrough instead describes a melody-locked Lace rematch in the Chapel wing of Cogwork Core. Because those sources do not agree on the route’s precise location, use Threefold Melody and follow the Lace path rather than relying on a specific room name.

After defeating Lace, touch the hovering Silk Heart and finish the Silk Memory platforming sequence. The available route accounts do not provide the same level of traversal detail for this memory as they do for Bell Beast’s.
What Silk Hearts change
Each heart raises by one strand the amount of Silk Hornet can regenerate automatically. It does not increase the spool’s overall capacity or refill the whole spool at once. The Hollow Knight Wiki reports that the first strand regenerates after 1.5 seconds and each later strand after 4.25 seconds, with only one strand regenerating at a time. Any change in the amount of Silk held resets the timer; this includes hitting an enemy or spending Silk on an ability or tool. Finish the memory after every boss
For each of the three rewards, the sequence is the same: defeat the boss, touch the hovering heart, and complete the memory platforming. The arena remains locked until the heart is collected, so leave the memory only after finishing its traversal.
