All five Mothling set pieces are inside and immediately around Vukah Cave Pillar in the Nomad Highlands. Follow the cave route from the entrance: the Robe is in the first left-hand chamber, the Hood is on a raised platform behind you, the Boots are buried beside the bonfire, the Gloves are on a platform in the southwest passage, and the Pants are beyond the Gloves chest up a stairway. The set is cosmetic, so collecting it changes your character’s appearance but does not add armor or combat statistics.
What should I do before entering Vukah Cave Pillar?
Use the Nomad Highlands map to reach Vukah Cave Pillar, following the journal’s route through the Research Camp in the other Pillar of Creation before exiting and taking the path to the cave landmark. Current database entries associate these journal objectives with a recommended level of 16. Bring an axe or another tool capable of digging: the Boots chest is hidden under a mound rather than sitting openly on a platform.

The cave’s bonfire, raised ledges and staircases are more reliable navigation cues than map measurements. Regional listings place the pieces roughly 100–220 metres southeast or south of Vukah Cave Pillar, but those figures are orientation references, not exact coordinates.

How do I get the Mothling Robe?
Enter Vukah Cave Pillar and stay on the left-hand path. Continue until it leads to a chest; this chest contains the Mothling Robe. If you reach the bonfire before finding a chest, you have gone too far for this first stop and should backtrack toward the entrance-side route.
Where is the Mothling Hood chest?
After opening the Robe chest, turn around and retrace your route. Drop down to the raised platform nearby and open the chest there to collect the Mothling Hood. The Hood is close to the Robe route, so do not leave the cave after finding the first piece.

Continue deeper toward the bonfire. Look to the bonfire’s right for a small mound, then use an axe or another suitable mining tool on the mound. The action reveals the buried Boots chest; it may be missed if you search only for visible silver containers.

Where are the Mothling Gloves?
Stand at the bonfire and take the passage leading southwest. On the right, look for a slightly raised platform and open the chest on it to obtain the Mothling Gloves. The elevation change is the key clue: scan above floor level rather than following the passage straight through.

Why does the journal send me through a different Pillar of Creation first?
The journal route uses the Research Camp in the other Pillar of Creation as a waypoint before directing you toward Vukah Cave Pillar. It is a progression hint for reaching the landmark, not an indication that the five chests are split between both pillars.
Do I need a special shovel for the Boots chest?
The route instruction calls for an axe or comparable mining tool to break through the mound. If the mound does not react, equip a tool that can perform digging or mining actions before trying again.
How can I tell whether I have the complete set?
