Where to Find Expert Manual Pages in Dying Light: The Beast

The best-reported Expert Manual Page spot is Brick School in Golden Pine, The Vale, but crafting three Intermediate pages is the most reliable route.

The most specific Expert Manual Page location reported so far is Brick School in Golden Pine, in The Vale on the east side of Castor Woods. One player found about six pages there, but that result is not a guaranteed spawn. The most dependable route is crafting: three Intermediate Manual Pages combine into one Expert page.

Where to find Expert Manual Pages

Brick School, Golden Pine (The Vale)

  1. Open the Castor Woods map and move to The Vale on the eastern side.
  2. Find Golden Pine and search Brick School.

Insider Gaming guide author Grant Taylor-Hill reported finding around six Expert Manual Pages at Brick School in an October 6, 2025 guide. He made that find after more than 15 hours of story progress and believed his higher player level affected the spawn. This is one player’s observation, not an official rule, so it is not a promise that every player will see the same yield or the same timing. Read the original report at Insider Gaming’s Expert Manual Pages guide.

Dark Zones in Castor Woods

Search for Dark Zones across Castor Woods and check each building’s map listing for the Expert Manual Page reward icon. No complete list of eligible buildings is published in the sources, and a listed icon does not guarantee a drop.

A separate Gamer Guides page on Beginner Manual Pages, released September 17, 2025 and updated October 6, 2025, reports roughly one to two Beginner pages per Dark Zone. It recommends rotating between the America Store and the Pharmacy. Those figures apply to Beginner pages only, and they should not be read as evidence that these locations reliably yield Expert pages. The guide is at Gamer Guides’ Beginner Manual Pages guide.

Crafting from Intermediate pages

Manual Pages form a tiered chain. The blueprint reference from KeenGamer lists three Beginner pages crafting one Intermediate page, and three Intermediate pages crafting one Expert page. Gather Intermediate pages first, then craft when you have three. The reference is at KeenGamer’s blueprint locations guide.

Choosing between direct finds and crafting

The two routes work differently. Direct finds depend on location, progress, and whether a building shows the reward icon. Crafting depends on your current stock of Intermediate pages.

Route What you need Expected yield Reliability
Brick School visit (Golden Pine) Reported after more than 15 hours of story progress About six Expert pages in one player’s Insider Gaming report (October 6, 2025) Not stated as a guaranteed spawn
Dark Zone search (Castor Woods) Buildings showing the Expert Manual Page reward icon on the map Not stated for Expert pages; Beginner pages reported at roughly one to two per Dark Zone (Gamer Guides) Not stated
Crafting Three Intermediate Manual Pages One Expert Manual Page (KeenGamer blueprint reference) Recipe is documented; the supply of Intermediate pages depends on your own finds

The sources do not include controlled time-to-farm data, so no route can be called faster for every player.

What Expert pages are used for

Expert Manual Pages appear as upgrade costs for higher-tier blueprints. The required amount varies by blueprint, so check the specific recipe before you spend pages. The official Dying Light site at dyinglightgame.com/the-beast describes the game and the Dying Light Outpost community hub, which includes community-created maps. It does not publish Expert Manual Page locations or spawn rules.

Limits of the current evidence

  • The Brick School result comes from one player’s report dated October 6, 2025. Game updates can change item spawns, so check recent patch notes if your results differ.
  • No published drop rate exists for Expert pages in the reviewed sources.
  • No exact player level or story threshold for Expert page spawns has been confirmed.

If Brick School and Dark Zone searches are slow, crafting from Intermediate pages is the only route with a documented conversion, so keep collecting Intermediate pages while you search.
