In that season, he could spawn at one of three sites, chosen randomly at the start of each match. The available sources do not confirm that he is available in Fortnite on October 8, 2026.
Where Darth Vader spawned in the May 2025 season
Shacknews’ May 16, 2025 guide listed three possible spawn areas for AI Darth Vader. Check the relevant site if you are following those historical map instructions:
- Vader Samurai’s Solitude
- A landing pad southeast of Canyon Crossing, below the snowy hills
- A landing pad southeast of Foxy Floodgate
The spawn was random per match, so the guide did not identify one location where Vader would appear every time. Shacknews’ location guide includes the May 2025 instructions.
How the encounter worked
In that Galactic Battle season, finding Vader was not enough to make him a squad member. Shacknews’ guide said to defeat him and accept his Lightsaber to recruit him. Once he joined, players could use the Conversation AI control and a microphone to ask him a question.

Is AI Darth Vader still in Fortnite?
