Use the Cat Play pins in Where Winds Meet’s World View and travel between Boundary Stones, checking nearby rooms and courtyards before moving on. A Steam community guide reports 64 Cat Plays across Kaifeng, with nine more in Ghostlight Market listed separately as time-gated; the available location descriptions do not verify every Kaifeng pin. Pet each cat, then check the Sentient Beings Collection to confirm it registered.
How to find and verify Kaifeng cats
- Open World View and look for Cat Play pins. The Steam guide recommends using these markers to plan a route between nearby Boundary Stones.
- Use a searchable map to orient yourself. The Where Winds Meet interactive map advertises searchable markers and locations; use it to check a district or landmark when a pin is hard to place.
- Search around the pin, not just at it. Several cats are close together, including five in or around 17 Cat Economy. Check buildings, courtyards, bridges, and entrances before leaving the area.
- Pet the cat and confirm the record. AllThingsHow says petting raises that cat’s friendship, adds it to the Sentient Beings Collection in the Exploration Menu, and contributes to Area Exploration and Exploration Attribute progress, including Exploration Points and XP. Look for the cat in the collection after interacting.
Kaifeng Cat Play locations by area
The directions below are route clues from the retrieved Steam and AllThingsHow guides, not a verified transcription of all 64 reported Kaifeng pins. Names and approaches vary between guides in some cases; use the live in-game pin and nearby landmarks to settle the final approach.

Ghostlight Market is a separate group
The Steam guide reports 73 marked cat locations on its Kaifeng map: 64 across Kaifeng and nine grouped separately in Ghostlight Market. It labels the Ghostlight entries time-gated and notes the Mao hour for most. Do not count those nine as part of the guide’s 64 Kaifeng locations. The available guide text does not provide a complete, reliable name-by-name roster for Ghostlight Market.
What the location count means
The figure of 64 is a count reported by a user-generated Steam guide, not an independently established or official statistic. The Steam page identifies itself as updated May 6, but the visible date does not state a year; AllThingsHow labels its guide updated July 30, 2026. Neither retrieved source specifies the game build or platform for these directions. Treat names and directions as leads, and let the live pin and in-game collection confirm what you find.
