If you mean the secret Genetic Apex immersive Mew (#283), the reported way to get it is to complete the collection mission for all 150 Kanto Pokémon as cards. It is a mission reward, not a card you should expect to find by opening a particular Genetic Apex pack. This is separate from Mythical Island’s Mew ex and its Mew profile-icon reward.
How to get the Genetic Apex immersive Mew
Collect all 150 Kanto Pokémon as cards to complete the secret collection mission. Specialist guides identify the immersive Mew (#283) from Genetic Apex as the mission reward, rather than a card obtained directly from a pack. See the PokéBeach Genetic Apex guide and a second guide to obtaining Mew.
The documented requirement is to collect the 150 Kanto Pokémon as cards. The guides do not establish that you need a particular rarity, illustration, or printing for each Pokémon, so do not assume those extra conditions.
Which Mew do you mean?
| Item | Expansion or reward | Documented route |
|---|---|---|
| Immersive Mew (#283) | Genetic Apex | Complete the mission for all 150 Kanto Pokémon as cards, according to specialist guides. |
| Mew ex | Mythical Island | The official announcement confirms that Mew ex is in the expansion; it does not establish the Genetic Apex mission requirement. The Pokémon Company announcement was published December 16, 2024. |
| Mew profile icon | Mythical Island cosmetic reward | PokéBeach’s guide reports that collecting three Mew cards grants the icon. This is a profile cosmetic, not the Genetic Apex immersive card. PokéBeach’s Mythical Island guide was published December 16, 2024. |
Check current availability in the game
The cited mission guides and expansion announcement date from 2024; they do not establish whether Genetic Apex packs, trading, or another acquisition route are currently available. Check the expansion and mission screens in your current app version before planning how to collect the remaining cards. The available sources also do not confirm an alternate route to the immersive Mew.
