Shah’s Stash is a tunnel cache in Garbage, near the Poisonous Hole landmark. It is tied to the No Honor Among Thieves questline, and its reward is the Shah’s Mate SMG. Guides also report a Bloodsucker encounter once you reach it.
Where the stash is
The stash sits in Garbage, the region you reach early in the game. Use the Poisonous Hole as your landmark. The cache is inside a tunnel in that area, tucked into a corner of the tunnel. Gamer Guides identifies the reward as the Shah’s Mate, an SMG.

How to get there
- Travel to Garbage and head for the Poisonous Hole area.
- Look for the tunnel near that landmark and search its interior, including the corners.
- Pick up the Shah’s Mate from the stash.
- Expect a Bloodsucker fight once you have the weapon.
How it connects to No Honor Among Thieves
The stash is part of the No Honor Among Thieves quest. XboxAchievements ties the weapon’s location to that mission, and Game8’s search summary advises against killing Docent if you want his help locating the stash. Keeping Docent alive is therefore the route guides describe for getting the location from him.
Those sources do not establish that speaking with Docent is the only way to find the cache. Treat it as the documented route rather than a hard requirement. The full text of the XboxAchievements and Game8 pages was not available for verification, so the Docent detail rests on guide summaries.

Do not confuse it with the Budmo! stash
A second tunnel cache lies west of the Poisonous Hole. Gamer Guides places it as part of Panas’s vodka-delivery quest, which is a separate questline. Because both caches share the same landmark, confirm which quest you are on before you search.
| Detail | Shah’s Stash | Budmo! stash |
|---|---|---|
| Quest | No Honor Among Thieves | Panas’s vodka-delivery quest (per Gamer Guides) |
| Location | Tunnel in Garbage, near Poisonous Hole | Tunnel west of Poisonous Hole |
| Reward | Shah’s Mate SMG | Not stated in the sources reviewed |
| Encounter after finding it | Bloodsucker (per Gamer Guides) | Not stated in the sources reviewed |
What remains unconfirmed
- Whether Docent is the only way to learn the stash’s location.
- The exact conditions of the Bloodsucker encounter, such as timing or whether it can be avoided.
The core answer is consistent across the guide sources: Garbage, the Poisonous Hole tunnel, and the Shah’s Mate reward.
