Its formal name is the Gas-Energy Deflection Apparatus, and Chief Deviser Delphinia Bryant awards it at the Euphoria Coast Automech Repair Center.
Where to start the quest
Go to the Euphoria Coast Automech Repair Center on Paradise Island. Guides place the facility on the eastern side of the island, at the eastern edge of the region. GameSpot’s location guide identifies the repair center as the quest location.
Speak with Chief Deviser Delphinia Bryant and take on An Aegis Against the Miasma. According to Game8’s walkthrough, Marshal Donelson can also direct you to Bryant to begin the quest.
How to earn the Gas-Energy Deflection Apparatus
- Travel to the Euphoria Coast Automech Repair Center on Paradise Island.
- Speak with Delphinia Bryant and start An Aegis Against the Miasma.
- Complete Bryant’s requested tasks and return the Catalytic Amplifier to her, as described in Game8’s quest walkthrough.
- Claim the Gas-Energy Deflection Apparatus, which the guides list as the quest-completion reward.
What the Energy Shield protects you from
The apparatus provides temporary protection while crossing Zyranium gas and contaminated fields. It can help you pass through these hazards, but it does not provide permanent immunity: GameSpot warns that overexposure can still kill you after the shield is depleted. Game8 advises waiting for the meter to recharge when it runs low. Neither guide establishes a consistent exact duration or damage capacity, so plan your crossing without relying on a specific timer.
