To get them, install a mod that adds menstrual-cycle gameplay. With WickedWhims, buy them from a computer’s Wicked category or find the purple Kaya boxes in Build/Buy mode. Sims can also ask another Sim for a spare.
Where to find tampons with WickedWhims
-
Use a computer and open the Wicked category, then purchase tampons. The mod creator also lists Build/Buy mode as a purchase route; look for the purple boxes labeled Kaya. See the WickedWhims menstrual-cycle instructions for the creator’s details.
-
As an alternative, have a Sim ask another Sim for a spare pad or tampon. This interaction is also described in the creator’s instructions.
What if you use WonderfulWhims?
WonderfulWhims also lists menstrual-cycle gameplay and purchasable tampons and pads. Its listing does not establish the same computer menu or Build/Buy path as WickedWhims, so follow the instructions for the mod you installed rather than assuming the menus match.

Can you get tampons without a mod?
No usable tampon interaction is established as native game content. An EA forum response likewise says the option is not available in the game and suggests the player may be referring to a mod. EA’s Marketplace guide describes its content categories, but does not identify a Marketplace item that adds tampon gameplay.
Install mods carefully
EA describes mods as community-created additions, not Maxis content. Its mod installation instructions cover PC and Mac. Before downloading, check the mod creator’s current installation steps and compatibility notes for your game version, especially after a game update.
