Sell immediately to Fence Whitebeard
Whitebeard is at Nomads’ Camp in the Trosky region, west of Troskowitz, and accepts ordinary stolen goods. His cash and offers may be limited: PowerPyx estimated about 240 Groschen available, while Gameranx described his offers as poor. Wait for the stolen marker to clear
For a larger haul, put the items in the shared chest associated with an owned bed rather than carrying them around. After enough in-game time passes, the stolen marker can disappear and ordinary merchants can buy the items. The guides disagree on the wait: PowerPyx estimates one to two in-game weeks, while Gameranx says a few days. These are not a single confirmed universal cooldown, so check the item’s marker rather than relying on a fixed calendar.

Try a distant merchant, but separate sale eligibility from safety
Gameranx reports that an item may be sellable to a vendor far from where it was stolen. GamesFuze also describes perks that can affect stolen-item handling: Thief’s Eyes indicates whether an item remains stolen in the current location; Trafficker accelerates status decay; Hustler improves the chance of selling to ordinary merchants; and Partner in Crime removes transaction risk. Sharpen weapons before selling
The available Digital Trends guide excerpt says sharpening stones can repair weapons and hone their edge, increasing their sale price. Its broader condition mechanics could not be verified from the accessible page, so this supports weapon-sharpening advice only—not a blanket claim that repairing all damaged gear raises its value enough to cover the cost. Check whether the repair is worth it
Before spending on a repair, consider the expected price increase against the cost, and first confirm that the merchant trades in that item category. Merchant categories affect what they accept; condition, merchant cash, and the time and risk involved in carrying goods also affect the practical value of a sale. The cited guides do not provide reliable current price comparisons or tested repair-profit examples.
