Could viewers earn a reward for watching?
Bungie’s April 10, 2025 announcement said viewers could earn the Destination: Tau Ceti emblem in Destiny 2 by watching at least 15 minutes of the reveal between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time on April 12, 2025.
The promotion applied to eligible Twitch channels in the Marathon directory; Bungie did not require viewers to use one particular streamer. Bungie also announced a separate Twitch badge promotion connected to subscribing to a creator in the Marathon directory during the specified promotional period.
Those were event-specific promotions. The April 12, 2025 eligibility window has expired, so watching the YouTube replay or the recap now should not be treated as a way to claim the emblem.

Reveal versus launch
This showcase was a gameplay reveal, not Marathon’s launch broadcast. Bungie’s original 2025 recap listed September 23, 2025 as the planned release date, but that date was later superseded.
Bungie launched Marathon worldwide on March 5, 2026, for Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, according to its launch announcement. The older September date should therefore not be used as the game’s current release date.
