Choose the base class whose combat style and role appeal to you, then compare its advanced branches. The official Steam listing describes five base classes, 11 branch options, and more than 20 skills per class that can be mixed and matched.
What your class choice determines
The official Steam listing describes five base classes and 11 class-branch options. It also says each class has over 20 skills that players can mix and match into different combat roles. Your initial class matters because it determines which advanced branches you can choose from; it is therefore worth comparing those branches before settling on a base-class style.
These figures describe the game’s structure, not which class performs best. The sources do not establish comparative win rates, clear times, or pick rates.
Choose by the kind of combat you want
If durability is your priority
Consider Scytheguard if you want a tankier-feeling approach. Pocket Gamer describes it as a fun and powerful option for players who value durability, but that is a preference match—not proof that Scytheguard is best in every mode or for every player.

If you want a ranking
Treat tier lists as dated editorial opinions, not an official verdict. Pocket Gamer’s guide was updated October 6, 2026, while PCGamesN’s ranking was updated January 5, 2026; the guides do not establish a shared ranking method. BlueStacks also frames its tier guidance around combat rather than life skills. Their rankings should not be combined into a supposed consensus.
If you are undecided
Compare the branches available from each base class and the combat styles they suggest. Think about the role you want to play and whether you care more about PvE, PvP, or durability. The official listing emphasizes flexible skill combinations, so a single class label does not tell the whole story.

Check the branch-change rule in-game
A Pro Game Guides article from June 2025 says players can change branches between levels 15 and 45, before Awakening locks the branch for that character. Because this is an older secondary-source claim and a consequential choice, confirm the current rule in-game before relying on it.

A practical way to decide
- Pick a preferred role or combat feel. Decide whether you want a tankier approach or another style that appeals to you.
- Compare the branches tied to the matching base class. Your base-class choice determines which advanced branches are available.
- Use tier lists only as dated guidance. Check each guide’s date and focus, and do not treat its ranking as an official or universal answer.
- Verify any branch-change option before committing. In particular, confirm the level and Awakening rules in your current game client.
