Pokémon GO can send Pokémon to HOME, and eligible Pokémon from Pokémon Bank can move into it. Compatibility between a game and HOME does not mean every Pokémon can enter every connected game—or that a transfer can be undone.

| Pokémon Champions | HOME can send eligible Pokémon to Champions as visitors, and visitors can return to HOME. Only Pokémon that appear in Champions can visit. Pokémon obtained in Champions cannot be sent to HOME. |
| Pokémon Legends: Z-A | HOME and the game are mutually compatible, but a Pokémon can move only to a game in which it appears. Pokémon befriended in Z-A cannot move into earlier main-series games. Sending an older Pokémon to Z-A prevents it from returning to previous main-series games. |
| Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet | Mutually compatible with HOME. Individual Pokémon must appear in the destination game, and other restrictions may apply. |
| Pokémon Legends: Arceus | Mutually compatible with HOME. Individual Pokémon must appear in the destination game, and other restrictions may apply. |
| Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl | Mutually compatible with HOME. Individual Pokémon must appear in the destination game, and other restrictions may apply. |
| Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield | Mutually compatible with HOME. Individual Pokémon must appear in the destination game, and other restrictions may apply. |
| Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! | Connect to HOME on Nintendo Switch. Pokémon can move between the two Let’s Go games or into a newer game. A Pokémon sent from Let’s Go to a newer game cannot return to its original Let’s Go game. See Nintendo’s compatibility guidance. |
| Pokémon GO | GO can send Pokémon into HOME, but the transfer cannot be reversed back into GO. Each transfer uses GO Transporter Energy, and onward movement depends on the destination game’s eligibility rules. |
| Pokémon Bank | Eligible Pokémon from supported Nintendo 3DS games can move from Bank into HOME. They cannot be moved back to Bank, and only some can move onward into newer games. |
Nintendo’s version history says HOME version 4.0.0, released April 1, 2026, added compatibility with Legends: Z-A and Champions. Check Nintendo’s HOME update history for version details.
Why a connected game may not accept your Pokémon
HOME compatibility is not a promise that every Pokémon can travel to every connected game. Nintendo’s rule is that a Pokémon must appear in the destination game’s Pokédex; other restrictions can apply. A Pokémon in HOME may therefore be eligible for one connected title and ineligible for another.

To move Pokémon between HOME and a Nintendo Switch game’s save data, use Pokémon HOME on the Switch console. Nintendo’s console and mobile feature comparison marks Switch game transfers as unavailable in the phone app. The mobile app does support Pokémon GO transfers and Pokémon Bank connectivity.

- Moving from Pokémon GO: Treat the transfer as one-way; Pokémon sent to HOME cannot be returned to GO.
- Moving from Pokémon Bank: Treat the transfer as one-way; Pokémon sent to HOME cannot be returned to Bank.
- Moving from Let’s Go: A Pokémon sent into a newer game cannot go back to its original Let’s Go game.
- Moving from Champions: HOME visitors can return, but Pokémon obtained in Champions cannot be sent to HOME.
- Moving to Legends: Z-A: Check whether you will want that Pokémon in earlier main-series games; sending an older Pokémon to Z-A prevents it from returning to those earlier titles.
