The right Star Wars Battlefront depends on what you want to play: choose the 2024 Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection for the original games’ campaigns and couch split-screen, or Star Wars Battlefront II (2017) for a modern single-player story. The 2015 Star Wars Battlefront has solo and co-op Missions, but its official materials do not describe a conventional story campaign. Three options in this family offer campaigns: the original Star Wars Battlefront (2004), Star Wars Battlefront II (2005), and the modern Star Wars Battlefront II (2017). The 2024 Classic Collection includes the first two. Battlefront II (2017) is the choice for a newer story. EA describes its single-player story as spanning 30 years, and StarWars.com describes its central character as an elite special-forces soldier. Do not confuse it with the 2005 Battlefront II: the shared title does not mean they are the same game or offer the same campaign.
What is the difference between the 2015 game’s Missions and a campaign?
The 2015 game organizes its solo and cooperative play as Missions rather than as a conventional story campaign. EA’s Xbox One manual calls them “unique single- and two-player experiences” across a variety of modes; EA’s launch materials describe crafted missions that can be played solo or cooperatively.

Which Battlefront games support split-screen?
The Classic Collection supports offline two-player split-screen, and Battlefront II (2017) supports two-player offline split-screen co-op on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The collection is not evidence that the originals and newer games share modes, progression or online infrastructure. It is a package of the two classic releases. Are Battlefront servers still up?

Does Star Wars Battlefront have cross-play?
