Assign the Electrical Station to the Survivors if you want better movement tools for getting around the city. Assign it to the Peacekeepers if you would rather have combat support. Neither faction is the objectively better choice; the right pick depends on how you play.
What each faction’s station rewards
Each faction’s facility rewards push your play in a different direction. The guide-reported rewards are summarized below.

How assignment feeds faction progression
A facility assignment is not a standalone reward. Your overall allocation across facilities advances faction reward tiers, so one station contributes to a broader path rather than unlocking everything listed above. According to the same guide, assignment also shifts the district’s faction alignment and can affect faction side quests in that district.
The sources do not establish that this station determines the main story ending. Treat the choice as a district and reward decision rather than a plot one.

Choosing by play style
- Choose Survivors if most of your time goes to rooftops, escaping infected, and using the paraglider. Zip lines, airbags, and landing bags reward that routine.
- Choose Peacekeepers if you prefer setting environmental traps and leaning on combat aids.
- If you have already assigned other facilities, pick the faction that moves your reward path forward and gives the district the alignment you want.
Loot the station before activating it
Both a game wiki and Prima Games’ Downtown station walkthrough advise collecting all loot first, including the Inhibitor Container. Activating the station makes any remaining loot disappear, so finish looting before you hit the activation switch.
