When an All Star Tower Defense (ASTD) code fails, the cause is usually one of five things: a typing mistake, the wrong Roblox account, a reward that was already claimed, an expired code, or a requirement the account has not met. A newly published code can also fail to appear in an older server. Work through those checks in that order, then verify the code through the game’s own update board or a developer-linked social channel before assuming Roblox or ASTD is broken.
First make sure you are playing the original All Star Tower Defense experience made by Top Down Games, rather than a similarly named Roblox game. The official listing identifies the experience and directs players to the lobby update board and the developer’s social links for announcements and codes: Roblox All Star Tower Defense listing.

Start with the right ASTD experience and a current source
Code troubleshooting only helps if the code belongs to the experience you opened. Use the Roblox listing for All Star Tower Defense and confirm that Top Down Games is shown as the creator. The listing’s retrieved update date was October 8, 2026, and its description tells players to check the lobby update board or the game’s social links for information, codes and updates.
That instruction matters because a search result, video description or community list can continue displaying an old entry after the developer has disabled it. The official listing did not expose a complete current code roster, so a list labelled “working” elsewhere is not proof that a particular code is redeemable today. Treat the listing, the in-game board and developer-linked announcements as the authority on whether a code is current.

Confirm the experience before entering anything
- Open the Roblox experience page linked above, not a result with a similar title.
- Check that the creator is Top Down Games.
- Read the lobby update board after joining the game.
- Use the social links shown by the developer for the announcement date and any eligibility notes.
If the code came from a third-party list, keep its publication date. You will need that date when deciding whether the entry may simply be obsolete.
Use this order to diagnose a failed redemption
Do not jump straight to reinstalling Roblox or blaming an error message. The following sequence covers the checks supported by Roblox’s own promo-code guidance and the ASTD community’s documented advice.
- Re-enter the characters exactly. Compare every letter, number and symbol with the original announcement. Remove spaces at the beginning or end, and do not substitute a similar-looking character. Roblox Support specifically recommends checking that a promo code was entered accurately.
- Verify the signed-in account. Open the Roblox account menu and confirm the username is the account that should receive the reward. A browser or console can silently remain signed in to a different account. Roblox Support includes the logged-in account in its basic redemption checks.
- Look for an existing reward. Check the inventory or the relevant in-game collection. If the item is already present, the code may be refusing to grant a duplicate. This is a general duplicate-reward check; ASTD rewards are not necessarily Roblox avatar promo items, so it does not explain every ASTD message.
- Check the announcement date and expiration. Roblox says promo codes are often available for a limited time. Compare the code with the current update board or social post, not just a page that calls it active. The ASTD community code page also warns that its entries can become outdated.
- Read the exact requirement for that code. Some ASTD listings include a minimum player level. Examples on the community page show level 50 and level 100 requirements for particular dated entries. Those examples do not create a universal ASTD level requirement; use the level or eligibility condition stated in the current announcement or in-game message.
- For a newly released code, join a fresh server. The ASTD community wiki suggests a new or VIP server when the current server may have started before the code was released. This is community advice rather than a confirmed guarantee from Roblox or Top Down Games.
After each step, try the code once. That makes it clear which condition changed the result and avoids repeatedly submitting a code that is already known to be invalid.

1. Check the code character by character
Most redemption failures are worth treating as an input problem first. Copying from a phone, a chat message or a formatted web page can introduce a leading space, a line break or a character that looks correct but is different. Manually compare the code with the developer’s post.
Common entry mistakes
- A space before or after the code.
- A missing number or letter when copying a long string.
- Replacing a zero with the letter O, or a one with a lowercase L or uppercase I.
- Using punctuation that was part of a sentence rather than part of the code.
- Entering a code from a different Roblox experience.

2. Make sure the intended Roblox account is active
A valid code can appear to fail when it is being submitted on the wrong account. This is especially easy to do when several family members use the same device, when Roblox was opened from a different browser profile, or when a console account and a mobile account are not the same Roblox login.
Account checklist
- Compare the username shown in Roblox with the username that should receive the ASTD reward.
- Sign out of other Roblox sessions if you are unsure which account is active.
- Return to the ASTD experience after confirming the account, rather than relying on an old game window.
- Check the inventory or collection on that same account before trying the code again.
Roblox Support lists the logged-in account as one of the first things to verify during promo-code troubleshooting. There is no evidence that changing devices converts an expired ASTD code into a valid one; the purpose of this check is to ensure the reward is being sought on the correct account.

3. Check whether the reward was already claimed
Some systems do not issue a second copy of a reward. If the code was redeemed previously, a second attempt may look like a failure even though the reward is already available. Search the appropriate ASTD inventory, unit, item or currency area rather than checking only Roblox’s avatar inventory.
Roblox’s support guidance recommends checking whether the item is already owned. Apply that advice carefully in ASTD: the reward may be an in-game item rather than a Roblox avatar asset. Because the available guidance is general, an already-owned reward is a possibility, not a verified explanation for every ASTD error or message.
4. Determine whether the code has expired
Roblox Support states that “Promo codes are often available for a limited time only.” An old code can therefore fail even when it is copied perfectly, used on the correct account and entered in the correct experience.

How to judge a code’s age
- Find the original developer announcement, the ASTD lobby board entry or a developer-linked social post.
- Record the date on which the code was announced.
- Look for an explicit end date, event end date or eligibility window.
- Compare that information with the date shown on the page where you found the code.
- Prefer a recent official announcement over a community page that has not been updated.
The community-maintained ASTD Codes wiki page is useful for locating historical entries and seeing that requirements can differ, but the page itself warns that entries may be outdated. A “working” label on a third-party page cannot establish current validity.
5. Check code-specific level or eligibility requirements
ASTD code entries are not necessarily interchangeable. The community page includes examples tied to particular dated codes that require level 50 or level 100. Those examples show why a code can be correctly entered and still be rejected by an account that does not qualify.
Do not turn those examples into a blanket rule such as “all ASTD codes require level 50.” Instead, read the requirement attached to the exact code in the current announcement or in-game message. If no requirement is stated by the developer, the available sources do not establish one.
What to compare when you have several candidate codes

Reward size is a poor diagnostic comparison. A larger advertised reward does not make a code more likely to be active or eligible.
6. Try a fresh server for a newly released code
If the code was announced moments ago, the server you are in may have been running before the announcement. The ASTD community wiki recommends joining a new or VIP server in that situation. Leave the current server, start a fresh public server or use a VIP server you are permitted to join, then enter the code once more.

This step is reasonable for a just-released code, but its effectiveness is not established by a first-party Roblox or Top Down Games statement. Do not use it as evidence that an old code is still active. If the code fails in a new server and the official announcement is no longer current, expiration or eligibility remains more likely than a server-age issue.
What the available error information can—and cannot—tell you
The sources available for ASTD troubleshooting do not provide a definitive map from each in-game error string to a specific cause. A message that sounds like “invalid,” “already redeemed” or “not eligible” should not be treated as a documented diagnosis unless the current game message or developer announcement explains it.
Use the observable result to choose the next check, but keep the conclusion proportional:
- If correcting a character changes the result, the original entry was inaccurate.
- If the reward appears after switching accounts, the first account was not the intended recipient.
- If the code works only after meeting an announced level requirement, eligibility was the blocker.
- If the code fails in both the original and a fresh server and no current official announcement exists, do not assume a server bug; an expired or unverified code is more plausible.
These are troubleshooting inferences, not an official ASTD error-code chart.
When a code list says “working” but ASTD rejects it
Community lists can be convenient, but they are snapshots. A page may preserve an entry after the developer has removed it, or it may combine codes from different dates and requirements. The ASTD community wiki explicitly cautions that its entries can be out of date.

A safer verification routine
- Use the community page only to identify a candidate code or its historical announcement.
- Open the current ASTD lobby update board.
- Follow the social links presented on the official Roblox listing.
- Match the candidate’s spelling, date and requirement with the current developer information.
- Discard the candidate if you cannot find a current official confirmation.
This approach avoids presenting an old code as active and keeps the diagnosis focused on evidence rather than on a label supplied by a third-party list.
What not to do
- Do not keep retrying an unverified old code. Repeated attempts do not extend a limited-time promotion.
- Do not assume every ASTD code has the same level requirement. The documented level 50 and level 100 examples belong to specific dated entries.
- Do not confuse ASTD rewards with Roblox avatar promo items. Inventory checks are useful, but the reward may live inside the game.
- Do not rely on a particular error string as proof of cause. The available sources do not establish a complete error-to-cause map.
- Do not install unrelated software or buy anything to “unlock” a code. No physical product or outside purchase is identified as a fix for ASTD code redemption.
Escalate only after the basic checks
If the code is current on an official channel, the characters are correct, the intended account is active, the reward is not already present and the account meets the stated requirement, try the fresh-server step when appropriate. If it still fails, use the current official update board or a developer-linked social/community route to ask for help.
Include the experience name, your Roblox platform, the announcement date, the exact requirement shown for the code and the precise wording of the in-game response. Do not post account passwords, authentication codes or other private credentials. The available sources do not identify a separate ASTD support form or promise a particular response time, so use only the support or community route currently linked by the developer.

- Am I in the original Top Down Games experience?
- Did I copy every character without spaces or substitutions?
- Is the intended Roblox account signed in?
- Have I checked the ASTD inventory or collection for an existing reward?
- Is the code confirmed by the current lobby board or a developer-linked social post?
- Could the code’s limited-time window have ended?
- Does this exact code have a level or other eligibility requirement?
- Was the code released after my current server started?
- If so, did I test once in a fresh or VIP server?
If all nine answers are satisfactory and the code still fails, the remaining cause is not established by the available documentation. Report the details through the current official route rather than treating a community “working” label as proof that the code must be active.
