If your FIFA Points have not appeared, first check whether the purchase completed in the store where you bought them. Then restart the game, check for EA or platform service issues, and confirm you are using the account and platform persona tied to the purchase. EA now calls the currency EA SPORTS FC Points; if a completed purchase is still missing after 24 hours, contact support with your receipt and purchase details.
What to do when your Points are missing
- Verify the transaction. Open the order or transaction history for the store or platform where you made the purchase. A pending or failed payment does not confirm that Points were delivered. Start with the seller’s record, since the transaction history depends on where you bought them. EA’s missing-Points guide covers the next troubleshooting steps.
- Restart the game. Close and relaunch it, then check your Points balance again.
- Check for service issues. Look at EA SPORTS FC Direct Communication on X or WhatsApp and the server-status page for your platform. If there is a reported issue, check the balance again after it is resolved.
- Confirm the account and persona. Make sure the game is using the EA Account and platform profile associated with the purchase. If you have more than one EA Account, you may be signed into the wrong one. You can review connected accounts in EA Account settings; Nintendo-linked accounts may not appear there. See EA’s connected-account guidance and EA’s account guidance.
- Wait up to 24 hours, then escalate. If a completed purchase is still missing after 24 hours, contact support. EA directs PlayStation players to PlayStation Support for help finding missing Points. EA’s general missing-content guidance also recommends contacting support after trying the troubleshooting steps and waiting 24 hours.
What to give support
Have the following details ready so support can identify the transaction and the account where the Points should appear:
- Proof of purchase, such as the receipt or transaction confirmation from the seller.
- The platform persona where the Points are missing: EA ID, PlayStation Network Online ID, or Xbox gamertag.
- The console or platform you used.
- The purchase time and date, including the time zone.
- The quantity of missing Points.
- The Points code, if you bought a code.
- Any other details that may help explain the purchase or account involved.
Why you may see “FIFA Points” and “EA SPORTS FC Points”
“FIFA Points” is the familiar term in the question, but EA’s current support pages call the currency EA SPORTS FC Points. EA lists PlayStation, the EA app, Steam, Xbox, Switch, Epic Games, and Amazon Luna in its missing-Points checklist. Its buying guidance includes in-game, platform-store, EA app, Companion App, and trusted-retailer purchases. Because the seller and transaction record vary by purchase route, check the store that processed your payment first. EA’s retrieved guide specifically refers PlayStation players to PlayStation Support; it does not provide a separate recovery workflow for every listed platform.
Do you need Points to play Ultimate Team?
No. EA SPORTS FC Points are optional for Ultimate Team; buying them is not required to play it. EA’s buying guidance explains the currency and purchase routes.
