If buttons or links on the Roblox website will not respond, Roblox’s own first-line advice is to clear temporary internet files and cookies, restart the computer, and disable browser add-ons to see whether one of them is interfering. If clicks fail only inside one experience, the fix usually sits with that experience’s creator. If many areas stop responding at once, check whether Roblox itself is having a problem. “Can’t click on Roblox” covers several different failures, so the first job is to pin down exactly where the click fails.
Pin down where the click fails
Roblox treats website clicks, in-experience controls, desktop client trouble, and platform-wide disruption as separate support paths. Sorting your problem into one of them tells you which fix to try and who can actually resolve it.

These are diagnostic routes rather than mutually exclusive explanations. A website problem and an experience problem can coexist, so check the scope before changing anything on your computer.
Fixing clicks on the Roblox website
Roblox’s General Website Issues article describes this symptom as “Buttons or links are not allowing you to click them,” and lists the following steps in order. Work through them in sequence and stop when the problem goes away.

- Clear temporary internet files and cookies for the browser you use to reach Roblox. Use your browser’s own clearing tool, not the Roblox app’s cache, because the website runs inside the browser.
- Restart the computer. A full restart clears background state that a browser restart does not always reset.
- Disable browser extensions, add-ons, and plugins. Turn off all of them, then reload Roblox and test a button or link.
- If the problem disappears, re-enable the add-ons one at a time and test after each one. The one that brings the problem back is the likely conflict.
Two details matter here. Roblox states that its website does not support Internet Explorer, so an older browser is a reason to switch rather than troubleshoot. Roblox also presents these steps as suggestions to try, not as a guaranteed fix.
If the website still won’t respond
Before contacting support, confirm that the failure is not isolated to one page on a single browser. Try the same page in a different supported browser. If the same button fails everywhere, the problem is more likely with the page or the platform than with one browser profile. Then contact Roblox Support and include the details in the checklist below.

What to send Roblox Support
Roblox asks for reproducible information. Gathering it before you write in will shorten the back-and-forth:
- The exact URL of the page where the button or link fails
- Your device model and operating system version
- Any error message, shown verbatim
- Step-by-step instructions that reproduce the failure
- Any recent changes, such as a browser update, a new extension, or a new security program
When clicks fail inside one experience
If the Roblox website works but a control inside a particular experience does not respond, the problem belongs to that experience. Roblox’s Experience Controls page explains that the options available in an experience’s menu depend on the experience itself, and that experience features are maintained by their creators.

- Open the experience’s own instructions or help, and check whether its controls are described for your input method.
- Open a different experience and test a click. If other experiences respond normally, the problem is specific to the first one.
- Contact the creator through an available Roblox message or chat, the experience group’s wall, or the social links the creator provides.
Roblox Support cannot change how an individual experience’s interface behaves, so it is not the right first destination for this symptom.
When the problem is platform-wide
If several experiences and parts of the website stop responding together, check Roblox Status before changing your browser or reinstalling anything. Roblox’s Contact Us page directs users with problems “joining an experience, using the Roblox platform, or playing an experience” to that page.

When checked on 8 October 2026, the Roblox Status page showed all systems operational and listed a site issue from 5 October 2026 as resolved. That is a dated snapshot of the service at one moment. It does not prove the service is healthy today, and an operational status does not rule out a fault on your own device. Note the time you checked if you are reporting the issue.

Use the desktop checklist only when the symptoms fit installing, launching, or crashing the Roblox client, such as the browser not finding Roblox or an installation that loops endlessly. A single unresponsive button or control is not that kind of failure, and firewall changes or a reinstall will rarely fix it.

- Restart first. Roblox’s guidance is to restart the computer before reinstalling.
- Clear temporary internet files as part of reinstall troubleshooting.
- Check firewall and security software. Confirm they are not blocking Roblox, which is the focus of Roblox’s Firewall and Router Issues article.
- Reinstall only if the earlier steps fail. Roblox’s reinstall guide says some technical problems can be solved this way.
Third-party software and input hardware
Roblox warns that third-party programs can hinder the client’s connection or functionality, and it names auto-clickers and other game launchers as examples. If you recently installed input or game utility software, temporarily close it as a diagnostic step and test whether the click returns. If it does, uninstall or stop using that software rather than running a workaround, and avoid automation tools as a fix.
Roblox’s official sources do not establish that a faulty mouse is a common cause of this symptom, and they do not recommend buying new hardware. As a general troubleshooting check, test the same mouse or touchpad in another application. If it fails there too, the input device is a likely suspect. If it works everywhere except Roblox, the problem is more likely software-related.
Platform requirements to check
Roblox’s computer requirements page, checked on 8 October 2026, lists the following platforms. Supported versions can change, so confirm against the current page before relying on this list.

The page also lists hardware and network figures. Those describe what Roblox recommends, not a threshold below which clicks will fail, so a computer that meets the requirements is not thereby ruled out, and one that falls short is not automatically the cause.
