March 18 is associated with an internet rumor that John Doe and Jane Doe would hack Roblox or players’ accounts. The date is not a verified attack date: the available sources do not substantiate a scheduled attack.
What is the March 18 Roblox warning about?
The warning claims that John Doe and Jane Doe—names used in the rumor—would hack Roblox or players’ accounts on March 18. A CyberPost article published May 27, 2025, describes the claim as a debunked myth and says the alleged coordinated attack did not materialize. CyberPost’s explanation of the rumor
That supports treating the date-specific warning as an unsubstantiated historical scare, not as a reason to avoid Roblox on March 18.
Why did the rumor attach to March 18?
The available sources do not establish why the rumor selected March 18 or who started it. A community-maintained Fandom page records a DanTDM video published on March 18, 2017, whose description says it responded to warnings not to play because of John Doe. That is evidence the warning was circulating by that date, not evidence that the threat was real. DanTDM video entry on the community-maintained page

No. The sources address the specific March 18 rumor; they do not establish that accounts are universally safe from unrelated risks. They also do not provide an accessible primary Roblox statement specifically debunking this rumor, so the explanation should not be presented as an official Roblox announcement.
