Yes. Capcom’s official Resident Evil Remake Trilogy announcement lists PlayStation 4 as a platform and includes Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition in the bundle. The catch is that “Resident Evil 4 on PS4” can mean two different releases, so confirm the edition on the store page before you buy.
Which PS4 release you are asking about
Two separate PS4 releases are easy to confuse:
- The 2016 Resident Evil 4 PS4 version. Capcom announced it on February 29, 2016, alongside an Xbox One version, and released it on August 31, 2016.
- The Resident Evil 4 remake. Capcom announced it on June 3, 2022, with a planned release date of March 24, 2023.
The 2016 release and the remake are different products. A listing that says only “Resident Evil 4 PS4” does not tell you which one you are getting.

- Read the contents line. Note whether the product is a standalone game or part of a bundle, and whether it is digital or physical.
- Check the release date. The March 24, 2023 date was the planned launch for the remake and has passed; it does not confirm current availability in every region or store.

If you want the 2023 remake on PS4, look for the remake title on the store page and confirm PS4 is listed. If you want the trilogy bundle, check that its contents include Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition. If you see only “Resident Evil 4” with a 2016 date, you are looking at the older PS4 release.
