Has Nintendo confirmed Luigi’s Mansion 4?
No. Nintendo’s official October 2025 update discussed the series’ three existing games, not a fourth entry. Nintendo’s investor schedule material reviewed here, dated 2025, also does not list Luigi’s Mansion 4; because it is dated, it cannot establish whether Nintendo made a later announcement.

What did Nintendo’s producer say about Luigi’s Mansion 4?
In a 2019 GameSpot interview, Nintendo producer Kensuke Tanabe recalled that as Luigi’s Mansion 3 was nearing completion, developer Next Level Games asked, “what about [Luigi’s Mansion 4]?” Tanabe presented the remark as a creative question about what might follow the hotel setting—not as news of an approved project, a development start, or a release date. What is the latest official Luigi’s Mansion news?
On October 21, 2025, Nintendo announced that the original Luigi’s Mansion would join the Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics library for Switch 2 on October 30, 2025. Nintendo said that all three existing games could then be played on Switch 2. The original is available through that library with a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership; subscription availability and terms can vary by territory. See Nintendo’s announcement.
The other two games Nintendo named are Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD and Luigi’s Mansion 3. The update was about access to the existing series, not an announcement of a fourth game.

What can you play while waiting for news?
Luigi’s Mansion 3 is the most direct current recommendation if you want a released main-series game. Nintendo lists it for Nintendo Switch, with a regional release date of October 31, 2019. Its features include the Poltergust G-00, Gooigi, local co-op, and multiplayer modes. Those are features of Luigi’s Mansion 3, not clues or promises about a sequel. Where to check for a future announcement
Announcement status can change. For confirmation, look for a Nintendo announcement that explicitly names Luigi’s Mansion 4; a past creative remark or a schedule that does not list the game is not enough to establish that it has been greenlit or released. Nintendo’s official news page is a suitable place to check for updates.
