Spoiler-safe hints for Wordle #1635
- It means “get rid of.”
- It starts and ends with the same letter.
- It contains a repeated letter and begins with E.
- Think of what you might do to a pencil mistake.
- Two useful synonyms are “delete” and “rub out.”

How Wordle’s feedback works
Wordle gives you up to six guesses to find a hidden five-letter word. After each guess, colored tiles show how close the letters are:
- Green: The letter is in the answer and in the correct position.
- Yellow: The letter is in the answer, but in a different position.
- Gray: The letter is not in the answer.
One reported solve for ERASE
In his December 9, 2025 guide for the December 10 puzzle, Forbes writer Erik Kain said he opened with SPIEL, leaving 70 possible words, then played CRATE and narrowed the answer to ERASE. That is Kain’s account of his own game, not a tested recommendation or a claim that those guesses are best for everyone.
