A useful solving takeaway
An opening guess that tests common consonants and at least two vowels can help narrow a word like this. Once S and Y are established, several adjectives ending in -y may remain possible, so testing the middle positions is more useful than repeatedly guessing similar patterns. A guess containing A, N, and D would narrow the possibilities sharply.
Words such as SNIDE, STARE, and SAINT were suggested by some coverage as possible opening guesses, but no single starter should be treated as officially best without a transparent solver analysis.
