A Reddit post about World of Warcraft Forever beta feedback has renewed discussion of a line attributed to Blizzard executive producer Holly Longdale: “I think the lesson we learned the most overtime is you don’t listen to the loudest people in the room.” The attribution comes from a Reddit commenter who says Longdale made the remark at a PAX presentation; the original presentation or transcript has not been verified here. The comment should therefore be treated as a reported quote, not confirmed wording or official policy.
What the Forever WoW discussion is about
In a post dated October 9, 2026, a r/classicwow author argues that World of Warcraft Forever should not be balanced around the loudest feedback. The post focuses on beta reactions to mage gameplay and the possibility that early judgments shift as players gain access to more abilities, including Fingers of Frost and Ice Lance.

The author’s central point is that reactions at an early stage may not reflect how Classic should play out over time. That is an argument made by one community member, not evidence that Blizzard changed a class in response to public pressure or that the post represents the wider player base.
Why players disagree about the mage feedback
The thread does not settle on one explanation for mage criticism. Participants debate whether the concern is that the class is too strong, that its rotation feels unappealing, or that players cannot fairly judge its eventual level 60 balance while beta play is still limited to an earlier stage.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Balance: Whether a class is too powerful is a different question from whether its playstyle is enjoyable.
- Beta stage: Feedback before players have access to later abilities may not predict how the class feels or performs at higher levels.
- Cause and effect: The thread includes disagreement about whether complaints led to the changes being discussed; it does not establish that they did.
Those distinctions matter because a post describing a class as “weak” or “overpowered” is not necessarily making the same point as a player who says its rotation is boring. Combining those reactions into one verdict can obscure what feedback is actually asking developers to address.
What the reported Longdale quote does—and does not—show
A Reddit commenter attributes the line about not listening to the loudest people in the room to Longdale at a PAX presentation. No primary recording or transcript is linked in the material reviewed, so the exact wording, date, and surrounding context remain unconfirmed. The quote should not be presented as independently verified.

Even if the attribution is accurate, the sentence alone does not establish a specific Blizzard policy for Forever, explain a particular balance decision, or show that developers ignored player feedback. The beta thread likewise cannot demonstrate how Blizzard weighs feedback internally.

A careful reading keeps four questions separate: whose feedback is being heard, how far beta progression has advanced, whether a complaint is about power or feel, and whether there is evidence tying a particular change to that feedback. The thread raises those questions but does not answer the last one.
