wsutilities.dll is an application DLL associated with Wondershare software, not a standard Windows system file. If Windows says wsutilities.dll is missing, was not found, or could not be loaded, repair or reinstall the Wondershare program that is trying to open it.

The same filename has been observed with Wondershare UniConverter, DVD Slideshow Builder Deluxe, Repairit and Filmora-related installations. That does not mean every copy is interchangeable. The installation path and the executable named in the error are more useful than the filename.

First, identify the Wondershare application
Before repairing anything, find the program that Windows is launching.
Check the complete error
Write down the exact message. Examples reported by DLL-reference databases include:
The program can't start because WSUtilities.dll is missing from your computer.This application failed to start because WSUtilities.dll was not found.Failed to load WSUtilities.dll.The file WSUtilities.dll is missing or corrupt.WSUtilities.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.- An error naming a path such as

If the dialog names an executable, search for that executable in the Start menu or in File Explorer. If it shows a folder path, use the folder name to identify the product. For instance, a path containing WondershareRepairit points to Repairit, while a path containing WondershareFilmora points to Filmora.
Check Installed apps
- Press Windows + I to open Settings.
- Select Apps.
- Select Installed apps on Windows 11, or Apps & features on Windows 10.
- Search for
Wondershare. - Record the exact product name and version.
- If several Wondershare products are installed, start with the one named by the error or whose installation directory contains the failing executable.
Do not repair a different Wondershare product just because it is the first one in the list.
Check the installation folder
In Installed apps, select the product and choose Advanced options if that option is available. Alternatively, right-click the product’s shortcut, choose Open file location, then inspect the shortcut’s target.
A legitimate application DLL normally belongs beside the program that loads it or in a related folder supplied by that application’s installer. It should not normally be stored directly in:

- A crack, keygen or unofficial software directory
- An unrelated user’s profile or download folder
Fix 1: Repair the Wondershare application
Repair is the safest first step because it can restore missing application files without requiring a complete removal.
- Open Settings with Windows + I.
- Select Apps.
- Open Installed apps or Apps & features.
- Find the Wondershare product.
- Select the three-dot menu beside it on Windows 11, or select the product on Windows 10.
- Choose Advanced options if available.
- Select Repair.
- Wait for Windows to finish.
- Restart Windows.
- Open the Wondershare application again.
If the program starts normally, the repair restored or corrected the application installation. Do not copy another wsutilities.dll over the repaired file.
Some desktop installers show Repair, Change or Modify instead:
- Press Windows + R.
- Type
appwiz.cpland press Enter. - Select the Wondershare product.
- Choose Change, Repair or Modify.
- Follow the installer prompts.
- Restart Windows and test the program.
If no repair option exists, continue to the reinstall step.

Reinstalling the parent application is the definitive fix for a missing or corrupted application DLL.
Before removing it, preserve project files, exported media, license information and any custom settings you need.
- Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Select the Wondershare product that generated the error.
- Choose Uninstall.
- Complete the uninstall wizard.
- Restart Windows.
- Download the same product from Wondershare’s official website or official support page.
- Use the current installer for your edition of Windows.
- Install the product normally.
- Restart Windows again if the installer requests it.
- Start the application and open a test project or file.
If the product has a launcher with Verify, Verify integrity, Repair or Check files, use that feature before uninstalling. It can compare the application files and restore the correct build.
If reinstalling fails, check that the old installation is gone, that you have enough disk space, and that the installer is allowed to run. Right-click the official installer and choose Run as administrator. Temporarily investigate whether security software is blocking the installer, but do not permanently disable protection or whitelist an untrusted file.
Use the official Wondershare download or support page for the detected product, such as UniConverter, Repairit or Filmora. Do not use an installer bundled with a third-party download manager or unofficial repack.

Fix 3: Check antivirus quarantine
Windows Security may have quarantined or removed the file. This is especially relevant if the error started immediately after a scan or if the rest of the Wondershare folder is intact.
- Open Windows Security from the Start menu.
- Select Virus & threat protection.
- Select Protection history.
- Review recent events.
- Open any event associated with the Wondershare installation or
wsutilities.dll. - Note the detected path and threat name.
- Confirm that the path is inside the genuine Wondershare installation directory.
- Scan the installer and the surrounding application folder before restoring anything.
Restore the file only when you have confirmed that the application came from Wondershare’s official source and the detection is understood. If the file was found in a temporary folder, crack, keygen, unofficial repack or unexpected user directory, do not restore it. Remove the untrusted software and reinstall the legitimate Wondershare product instead.
Run Virus & threat protection > Scan options > Full scan if the file repeatedly disappears or a suspicious program keeps recreating it.

A file named wsutilities.dll is not automatically safe. Its location, digital signature, installer provenance, file properties and antivirus results all matter.
Fix 4: Check architecture and dependencies
The publicly identified wsutilities.dll build is a 32-bit PE32 file. A 32-bit Wondershare application can require a 32-bit DLL even when it is running on 64-bit Windows.
To inspect the application:
- Open the Wondershare installation folder.
- Right-click the main application executable.
- Select Properties.
- Open the Details tab and record the product version.
- Open the Digital Signatures tab if present.
- Right-click
wsutilities.dll, choose Properties, and inspect its Details and Digital Signatures tabs.
Do not assume that an x64 file with the same name can replace the known 32-bit build. Public records contain conflicting architecture information, so the application’s official installer should select the correct file.
A “not designed to run on Windows” message may indicate a damaged file, wrong architecture, incomplete download, tampering or an incompatible dependency. It does not prove that the DLL is simply missing.

If the application or a diagnostic tool names a Microsoft Visual C++ runtime, install or repair the Redistributable architecture required by the application. Older Visual C++ Redistributables can coexist with newer ones.
Do not install DirectX, .NET or Visual C++ merely because wsutilities.dll is missing. There is no verified evidence that those packages supply this Wondershare file. Install a runtime only when the error or diagnostic evidence specifically identifies it.
Fix 5: Update the application and related drivers
If the error began after a Windows update, graphics change or application update, install pending updates for the Wondershare product from its official source. Then check Windows Update:
- Open Settings > Windows Update.
- Select Check for updates.
- Install available updates.
- Restart Windows.
- Test the Wondershare application.
A driver is not normally the source of wsutilities.dll, but outdated graphics or media drivers can cause a Wondershare application to fail after it loads its files.

- Select Device Manager.
- Expand Display adapters, Sound, video and game controllers, or another category related to the failing workflow.
- Right-click the relevant device.
- Select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for drivers.
- Restart Windows if a driver is installed.
- If the problem started after a driver update, open Properties > Driver and choose Roll Back Driver when available.
Manually hunting through hardware makers’ sites can mean comparing model numbers and guessing which of many driver packages is correct. Fix 6: Repair Windows components only when Windows is also failing
SFC and DISM repair Windows components, not normally third-party Wondershare files. Use them when Windows itself is malfunctioning, other built-in programs fail, or system corruption is suspected.
- Open the Start menu.
- Type
Command Prompt. - Right-click Command Prompt.
- Select Run as administrator.
- Approve the User Account Control prompt.
- Run this command and press Enter:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
- Wait for DISM to finish.
- Then run:
sfc /scannow
- Wait until the scan reaches 100 percent.
- Restart Windows.
- Test the Wondershare application.
If SFC reports that it repaired files, test the application again. If it reports that it could not repair some files, restart and repeat the repair process once after DISM has completed. If only Wondershare fails and Windows is otherwise normal, return to repairing or reinstalling the parent application.
Running these commands repeatedly without knowing what changed can be slow and may not address a third-party file. System Restore is appropriate when the problem began immediately after a driver installation, software installation or major system change and a suitable restore point exists.
- Press Windows + R.
- Type
rstrui.exeand press Enter. - Select Next.
- Choose a restore point dated before the error began.
- Select Scan for affected programs if available.
- Review the changes.
- Select Next, then Finish.
- Allow Windows to restart.
System Restore rolls back system files, settings and installed programs while preserving personal files. It is not a first-line replacement method for a missing application DLL. Afterward, you may still need to repair or reinstall the Wondershare product.

What not to do
Do not download an isolated DLL
Random DLL download sites sites may provide malware, a damaged file, the wrong version or the wrong architecture. Even a file with the right name may not match your Wondershare product, and it may leave the original installation broken.

The safe source is the official installer for the Wondershare application that generated the error.
Do not copy it into System32 or SysWOW64
Application DLLs are normally loaded from the application’s directory or another location configured by its installer. Copying a Wondershare library into a Windows system directory can create version conflicts and security risks.
Do not run regsvr32 for this file
regsvr32 is intended for self-registering COM or ActiveX libraries. WSUtilities.dll is presented as an application-support library, and there is no authoritative evidence that it provides a DllRegisterServer entry point.
Running a command such as:
regsvr32 wsutilities.dll
may produce an error stating that DllRegisterServer was not found. It does not repair the Wondershare installation. Do not use it unless Wondershare’s own technical support specifically confirms that this particular build must be registered.
Do not mix products or versions
The same filename can appear in several Wondershare products. Do not copy the DLL from Filmora into Repairit, or from one computer into another, unless the vendor provides that exact recovery method.

Collect this information before contacting Wondershare support:
- The complete error text
- The executable named in the error
- The Wondershare product name and version
- The full installation path
- The
wsutilities.dllfile properties - Whether the known file is 32-bit or another architecture
- Your Windows 10 or Windows 11 version
- Antivirus Protection History events
- Whether the problem began after uninstalling, updating or cleaning Wondershare software
- Any installer, Repair or Verify error message
